Case Work Involved In The Practice Of Community Integration Of The Elderly In Rural Relocation Communities Research

In recent years,with the acceleration of urbanization,the limited urban land is not enough to support the needs of urban construction and expansion.Therefore,rural lands in the suburbs of some areas have been requisitioned and demolished,and the original residents have been centrally arranged by the government to newly constructed resettlement areas.That is,the living life of the rural relocation community.Moving from the original old village to the newly-built rural relocation community,the villagers need to adapt to the new living environment,and their living habits and housing styles are forced to change due to the relocation.The literacy level of the elderly who have lived in the countryside for a long time is generally low.At the same time,their own cognitive abilities,learning abilities,and the ability to accept new things are relatively poor,which leads to difficulties in community integration and mental health problems after moving into a new community.Damage and other issues make it difficult for them to spend their old age happily.Therefore,it is extremely important to study the community integration of rural migrants from the perspective of social work,and to provide the elderly with professional social work intervention services.This article takes the L rural relocation community in S City as an example,takes the elderly newly moved into the L rural relocation community as the research object,from the perspective of case social work,collects data on the spot through interviews and observation methods to understand the newly relocated elderly in the L community People’s community integration status,explore the community integration problems they face and its causes,and provide case services to one of the representative elderly,use case work methods in social work to enhance theories and social support Theory guides the development of service goals and plans,and then guides service targets to integrate into the life of rural relocation communities,so that they can enjoy their old age.In this study,the author provides services around a single case,which is different from the group work method used in previous studies.It is able to carry out practical work under the guidance of professional theory according to the individual service needs of the service objects,focusing on the theory of energy enhancement.Under the guidance,change the client’s irrational perception of the new community,promote family harmony,increase social interaction and community participation under the guidance of social support theory,and enable the client to obtain formal and informal information from the community,family and peer groups.Support,and then take the initiative to reshape and expand the social support network,integrate into community life,and improve the happiness of life in old age.In my research,the author found that case work is insufficient in the intervention process,and the response to the actual needs of the elderly from rural areas is limited by the professional level of the social workers themselves.At the same time,the author puts forward suggestions based on practical summaries and reflections: The government should increase its attention and investment in services for the elderly in rural relocation communities;at the community level,it should continue to enrich community activities for the elderly to create conditions for the rural relocation elderly to understand and integrate into the community;Actively guide professional social workers to embed in the work of rural relocation,and help the elderly from rural relocation to integrate into community life.
