Research On The Current Situation Of Parents’ Educational Concept For Junior High School Students

Parent education concept is the core factor that affects the quality of family education.This study investigates the students and parents of F Middle School in Liangshan the Yi area to understand the current situation of parents’ education concept in F Middle School.Discover the problems existing in parents’ educational concepts;Analyze the reasons for the problems existing in parents’ educational concepts;Put forward some suggestions to improve parents’ educational concept based on the investigation and the actual situation in Liangshan the Yi area.Research methods are the method of literature,questionnaire method and interview method.From four dimensions of education concept from the parents,based on the four dimensions of parents’ education concept," children’s view,parent-child view,talent view and godson view ".The questionnaire and interview outline are designed with reference to the discussion of relevant scholars and existing questionnaires.Questionnaire survey was conducted on all classes in F middle school.Some students and parents were randomly selected for interviews.First of all,through the sorting and analysis of questionnaire data and interview data,the research analyzed the status quo of parents’ educational concepts from four dimensions.On this basis,this paper summarizes and analyzes the problems existing in parents’ educational concepts,including: Neglecting the stage and process of children’s growth;Son preference:emphasis on the number of children,But neglecting the quality of children’s upbringing;Single value orientation of talents;Single understanding of the way of talent training;Parents frequently compare their children with other children blindly;The frequent use of teaching methods of club discipline;Inadequate control of children.This paper analyzes the reasons for the problems of parents’ educational concepts from four aspects: parents’ own quality,family economic conditions,ethnic culture and customs and social status quo.Finally,from the government,schools and parents three levels to improve the concept of parents’ education: The government should continue to devote to poverty alleviation work to achieve a stable and long-term poverty alleviation;Improving the status quo of career choice only for public service;Improving the status quo of point-only education,continue to develop quality-oriented education;Developing literacy education for parents.The school should strengthen the parents ’scientific education knowledge and the concept of training and guidance;Improving the quality of school running and strengthen the cultivation of students.Parents should take the initiative to learn and think and improve the education cognition and concept.At least one parent stays at home if the parent works outside the home;Parents of migrant workers should strengthen communication with their children.
