| The junior high school stage is a critical period for the physical and mental development of children,and it is also a necessary stage for individual socialization.A good peer relationship can improve the self-evaluation of junior high school students and face future challenges with a positive and optimistic attitude.Conversely,individuals who can’t establish healthy social relationships are prone to social anxiety,low sense of security,and low happiness.According to past research,it can be found that bad peer relationships will aggravate teenagers’ social anxiety and become more resistant or repulsive from interacting with others.Therefore,this study aims to explore the mediating role of subjective well-being between peer relationships and social anxiety,and the mediating role of psychological security in the mediation pathways mentioned above.This study took 739 junior high school students from three schools in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province as the survey subjects,using tools such as the "Peer Relationship Questionnaire","Social Anxiety Scale","Sense of Security Scale","Adolescent Subjective Well-being Scale" To study the current situation and characteristics of peer relationship,social anxiety,and psychological security;explore the relationship between peer relationship,social anxiety,and subjective well-being,as well as the moderating role of psychological security.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Junior high school students have good peer relationships,with higher acceptance and lower fear and low self-esteem;Junior high school students at a good level of social anxiety,subjective well-being in the middle level,the overall subjective well-being is not high;A higher level of psychological sense of security;Peer relationship,social anxiety,subjective well-being,and psychological security have different demographic variables in each dimension.(2)There are significant pairwise correlations among junior high school students’ peer relationships,social anxiety,subjective well-being and psychological security.Peer relationship has a significant predictive effect on subjective well-being;Peer relationship and subjective well-being have significant predictive effects on social anxiety;Peer relationship and psychological security have significant predictive effects on subjective well-being.(3)The peer relationship of junior high school students can realize the indirect prediction of social anxiety through the mediating effect of subjective well-being.At the same time,the direct effect of peer relationship on subjective well-being is regulated by psychological security.After obtaining the above results,this study puts forward corresponding educational suggestions.At the school level,teachers should set up good peer role models for students,adopt different guidance methods according to different students’ personalities,organize students to participate in interest groups and related social skills courses,and promote interaction among students.At the same time,schools should provide teachers with relevant psychological counseling ability courses on a regular basis to improve their own psychological counseling capabilities.In terms of family,parents should lead by example,set a family role model,get closer to their children,always pay attention to their children’s emotional problems,create a social environment for their children,help children improve their social skills,and build a good home-school interaction model. |
