Social anxiety affects the establishment of good interpersonal relationship and damages the socialization function of adolescents,which leads to difficulties in social adaptation and adversely affects the development of physical and mental health and the socialization function of middle school students.On the basis of the existing research,this paper,starting from the practical significance,studied the factors and the internal mechanism of high school students’ social anxiety.Using the Adolescent Social Exclusion Questionnaire,Self-concern Scale,Social Anxiety Scale and other measuring tools,1297 high school students from two schools in Panyu District,Guangzhou were investigated.Firstly,we examined the overall status of social exclusion,self-concern and social anxiety among middle school students.Secondly,we use correlation analysis,mediating effect test,moderating effect test and other methods to explore the internal mechanism of social exclusion and social anxiety,and further explore the mediating role of self-focus and the moderating role of gender in social exclusion and social anxiety.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The overall level of social exclusion,self-concern and social anxiety of the middle school students is above the average.Monthly family income has significant differences in social anxiety and its dimensions.The lower the monthly family income is,the higher the level of social anxiety will be.There was no significant difference in whether they were only-child or not.(2)Social exclusion has a significant positive correlation with social anxiety,and social exclusion is a significant positive predictor of social anxiety;(3)Self-focus mediates the relationship between social exclusion and social anxiety;(4)The effect of social exclusion on social anxiety is moderated by gender through the mediating process of self-concern;...
