| In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,employment was considered to be the greatest livelihood problem.To stabilize the employment and to ensure people’s wellbeing were thought to be top priorities among the six stabilizations and six assurances.At the end of the 20 th century,colleges and universities began to increase their enrollment of students,which basically satisfied the people’s growing demands for higher education.Then people’s focus on higher education has changed from the number of the enrolled freshmen to the quality of the graduates’ employment.Vocational guidance is particularly important for improving the quality of employment.The urgent task for the intensive development of higher vocational colleges is to carry out an effective evaluation on the students’ satisfaction with the vocational guidance in higher vocational colleges,which will ensure students to have a sense of happiness and achievement.In this paper,on the basis of sorting out the relevant documentation for the career guidance in higher vocational colleges and the survey of students’ satisfaction,the writer defines the concept of career guidance、higher vocational colleges and students’ satisfaction.The writer designed a questionnaire,based on the theory of career guidance and customers’ satisfaction,about the students’ satisfaction with career guidance.He used the questionnaire to conduct a survey on the students who would graduate in 2018,2019 and 2020 in Baiyin Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and analyzed and processed relevant data.Then he selected relevant analysis methods to study the students’ satisfaction with career guidance in higher vocational colleges.The result of the survey shows that in terms of overall satisfaction,the students’ evaluations are significantly different because of the following four aspects,the gender,the years of graduation,their family background(means whether they are from a registered household)and their employment status.There are five secondary indexes for the students’ satisfaction with the vocational guidance in higher vocational colleges.According to the average scores,the descending order is as follows: concept of the vocational guidance and satisfaction with the mechanism,satisfaction with the management of the vocational guidance,satisfaction with the methods of the vocational guidance,satisfaction with the vocational guidance team and satisfaction with the information service of the vocational guidance.As a result of the above survey results,in this paper,the writer puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the students’ satisfaction with career guidance in higher vocational colleges.In higher vocational colleges,characteristics of students have to be considered.The needs of different students groups for career guidance have to be concerned and differentiated services ought to be provided.The overall thinking and construction system in vocational guidance have to be improved.The management process of vocational guidance ought to be improved.The methods of vocational guidance ought to be enriched.The number,quality and diversity of vocational guidance teachers have to be assured.The characteristics of the times have to be combined and the information services for vocational guidance ought to be strengthened. |
