In 2019,the government work report proposed for the first time to expand the enrollment of higher vocational colleges.The National Higher Vocational Colleges expanded the enrollment of 1 million people for retired soldiers,laid-off workers,on-the-job workers,migrant workers,new professional farmers and other social personnel.In 2020,the government work report again proposed to expand the enrollment of 2 million people in 2020 and 2021.With the enrollment expansion of higher vocational colleges,the types of students in higher vocational colleges have changed greatly,which brings opportunities and challenges to the reform and development of higher vocational colleges,and also brings great challenges to the ideological and political education of higher vocational colleges.Compared with the traditional students,the expanded students’ learning situation,ideological status and psychological characteristics are obviously different.Higher vocational colleges should further reform and innovate the ideological and political education methods,constantly enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of the ideological and political education of the expanded students,and effectively guarantee the quality of personnel training.At present,higher vocational colleges focus on the enrollment,personnel training,curriculum,teaching mode and other aspects of the research,while there is less research on the ideological and political education.Therefore,combined with the enrollment expansion policy of higher vocational colleges,this paper takes the enrollment expansion students as the research object,and through the investigation and analysis of the academic situation and ideological characteristics of the enrollment expansion students,studies the current situation,problems and Countermeasures of the ideological and political education of the enrollment expansion students in higher vocational colleges,so as to innovate the ideological and political education methods for higher vocational colleges,and better promote the all-round development of the enrollment expansion students,To improve the quality of personnel training to provide ideas.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction of the article,which mainly explains the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,defines the related concepts,analyzes the current situation of the research on Ideological and political education in Higher Vocational Colleges under the background of enrollment expansion in China,and the methods and experience of ideological and political education in foreign vocational schools,and finally introduces the research ideas and methods,so as to lay a good foundation for the writing of the paper.The second part discusses the necessity of Ideological and political education of expanding enrollment.Whether from the personal level,school level or national level,it is very necessary to strengthen the ideological and political education of enrollment expansion.From the individual level,it is the internal need to improve the ideological and political quality of the students and promote their all-round development;From the school level,it is the inevitable requirement of Ideological and political education reform and innovation in Higher Vocational Colleges under the new situation;From the national level,it is the urgent need of high-quality technical talents for the high-quality development of China’s social economy.In the third part,through questionnaire survey and interview,it studies the students’ learning situation,ideological status and their attitude towards ideological and political education.The main source of students is diversified,and the source structure is mainly composed of ex servicemen and in-service staff;The age structure span is large,and the proportion of students aged about 30 is high;The purpose of learning is diversified;Learning initiative,enthusiasm is not high.In terms of ideological status,they have clear ideals and beliefs,positive and optimistic attitude towards life,but generally satisfied with the current living conditions;I agree with the role of Ideological and political education,and feel that it is necessary and helpful to my study and life.The fourth part analyzes and studies the main problems and reasons of Ideological and political education of Higher Vocational enrollment expansion through the results of questionnaire survey and interview.The main problems include the challenge of Ideological and political education and the lack of joint efforts;The content and form of Ideological and political education are single and lack of attraction;The evaluation of Ideological and political education is not perfect and lacks vitality.The main reason is that higher vocational colleges do not pay enough attention to ideological and political education and lack of institutional guarantee;The diversity of student source structure puts forward higher requirements for ideological and political education;It is difficult to guarantee the effect of Ideological and political education in the online teaching mode.The fifth part puts forward the following countermeasures in view of the problems existing in the ideological and political education of the enrollment expansion in Higher Vocational Colleges: first,change the concept of Ideological and political education,adhere to moral education,establish the people-oriented concept,and establish the working mechanism of
