The arrival of twenty-first Century proclaimed the increasingly fierce competition among countries.Economic competition,scientific and technological competition and international status competition were,in the final analysis,competition for talents.However,the fate of human communities promoted the cooperation among countries in politics,economy and education.Constraints lead to progress,opposition and unity.More and more countries realize that higher education can not only train excellent leaders by itself,but also need to cross-border,cooperate and cooperate.The possession of advanced technology and the frontiers of academic frontiers make higher education more important in the development strategy of all countries,but improving the quality of graduate education in higher education,especially the quality of doctoral education,is the top priority of higher education.Canada’s higher education has a high degree of autonomy,which is the most representative characteristic of education in other developed countries,and has many top universities in the world.Therefore,based on synergetics theory,the characteristics of doctoral training in three famous Canadian universities can be used for reference in the future development of doctoral education in China.This research selects the top three in the Maclean’s university ranking in recent years as the main research object.Based on the theory of synergetics,this paper analyses the changes of cultivation idea,cultivation goal,cultivation mode and cultivation quality in the course of the change of doctoral training mode in three universities,and reveals the deep connotation of this change phenomenon by using the openness,self-organization,fluctuation and non-equilibrium transformation of synergetics theory,that is,openness is the benchmark for the formation of an orderly cultivation mode;conditions and self-organization are the key links to maintain an orderly cultivation mode;fluctuations guide the formation of an orderly development direction of the cultivation mode;non-equilibrium is the assistant thrust for the formation of an orderly cultivation mode.It is found that there are common features in the change of doctorate training mode in Canadian universities,that is,to promote the training concept of combining research with occupation,and combining academic with practice;to refine and develop training objectives for both academic and non-academic professionals;to flexibly adapt teacher selection,teacher student supervision,and cross faculties to form a joint training mode;Career tracking analysis reflects the quality of doctoral training.Based on this,combined with China’s national conditions for reference and improvement,it is expected that our country will play a role in the future development of the doctoral training mode and implement the training concept that matches the occupation;grasp the unbalanced opportunity and timely innovate the training objectives of doctoral education;cooperate with internal and external resources to optimize the training mode of teacher-student team alliance;pay attention to the differences between fluctuations,improve the evaluation mechanism and review the quality of training.
