| In China,vocational education has been developing for almost a hundred years.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the running school aim of secondary vocational education which has developed into a crucial part of Chinese education system up to now has always been giving priority to transporting the well-qualified technical personnel for the society.As modern educational technology develops increasingly,the educational demand has changed greatly comparing with that in the past.But at present the teaching mode of vocational colleges in China is too single to meet the educational needs.In June 2019,the Ministry of Education promulgated The Guidance on the Formulation and Implementation of the Plans for Professionals Training in Vocational Colleges,in which article 4 stated that the flipped classrooms should be continuously extended.From the appearance of the flipped classroom teaching mode to its development and application at present,Chinese scholars have been constantly exploring and practicing the flipped classroom teaching mode for changing the disadvantages of traditional classroom teaching.Hence based on the classical theories like humanism and constructivism,a highly applicable flipped classroom teaching mode of tourism majors has been put forward in this thesis by studying the typical cases at home and abroad,and integrating the teaching characteristics of tourism majors.The compulsory course of tourism “An Overview of Tourism” has been selected to carry out experiments in traditional and flipped classroom in two different grades of tourism classes.Based on the research review and design theory,the thesis firstly draw up the teaching plan of flipped classroom,secondly summarized the detailed teaching process of flipped classroom,and at last drew conclusions through the analysis of the achievements of the two classes and the teaching effect.Through comparing the teaching experiments,it is found that flipped classroom can effectively increase students’ participation in class,and be more advantageous to students understanding and mastering knowledge points.Nevertheless,not all knowledge point teaching should be carried out by flipped classrooms;as for some memorial knowledge points,traditional teaching modes will be more likely to improve students’ learning efficiency.The implementation of flipped classroom is necessary and feasible,but the transformation of teaching mode can not be achieved overnight.Therefore it is suggested that from a small start,teachers can appropriately add some flipped classroom teaching mode to the actual situation of knowledge points in every chapter in the curriculum design,which can not only improve the learning interest of secondary vocational students,but also improve the comprehensive quality. |
