The Influence Of Parental Rearing Patterns On Adolescents’ Social Adaptation: The Mediating Role Of Emotional Intelligence

Good social adaptation is an important standard of mental health.nowadays,the phenomenon of teenagers’ bad social adaptation emerges in endlessly,which has seriously affected their mental health.So it is imperative to improve the mental health level of teenagers from the perspective of promoting their good social adaptation.parenting style is the most direct factor affecting adolescents’ social adaptation.Emotional warmth and understanding of parenting style can promote the development of adolescents’ emotional intelligence.Emotional intelligence can affect adolescents’ social adaptation.therefore,it is worth exploring whether emotional intelligence can play an important role in the influence of parenting style on social adaptation.In this study,722 adolescents were randomly selected as the research objects,"parenting style evaluation scale","emotional intelligence scale" and "social adaptation questionnaire" were used to test.Spss 26.0 was used to explore the influence of demographic variables on parenting style,emotional intelligence and social adaptation.Descriptive statistics,correlation analysis and independent sample t-test were conducted test,analysis of variance,post test,regression analysis,mediating effect test.the results are as follows:(1)there are significant differences in parenting styles of adolescents in gender,place of origin,only child,student cadre,school type,grade,fa Mily income and Main caregivers;(2)there are significant differences in emotional intelligence of adolescents in gender,place of origin,student cadre,school type,family income and main caregivers,there are no significant differences in the only child and grade;(3)there are significant differences in gender,source of students,only child,class cadre,school type,grade,family income and main caregivers;(4)there are significant differences in emotional intelligence and parental rearing styles,such as emotional warmth,understanding,severe punishment,excessive interference,preference and rejection there are significant correlations between adolescents’ social adaptation and emotional warmth,understanding,severe punishment,excessive interference,overprotection,refusal and denial.there are significant correlations between adolescents’ overall emotional intelligence and each dimension and overall social adaptation and each dimension.(5)As a complete mediator,emotional intelligence plays an important role in the influence of parenting style on social adaptationBased on the above results,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)there are significant differences in parenting style,emotional intelligence and social adaptation in gender,place of origin,only child,student cadre,school type,grade,fa Mily income and main caregivers.(2)there is a significant correlation between parenting style,emotional intelligence and social adaptation.(3)Emotional intelligence plays a mediating role in the influence of parenting style on adolescents’ social adaptation.
