The pro-social behavior,an essential component of the development of children’s communication ability, plays an important role in the integration of children with development delay into the society and the adaptation to it,helping them to communicate with others better and establish good interpersonal relationships. As the family is the primary place of children’s socialization development, the influence of family parenting styles on the pro-social behavior has become the research focus of many scholars. With the development of special education, the integration into society has become its ultimate value orientation, which makes higher demands on the development of special children’s social communication skills. As a common example of childhood development delay, children with developmental delay are accompanied by the slow development of various aspects. The development of pro-social behaviors of stunted children provides necessary preparations for their integration and adaptation to society.Due to the particularity of children with developmental stunts, the development of pro-social behaviors of stunted children is affected by many aspects. As the family is the basic unit of growth and development of stunted children, its influence should not be ignored.Based on the impact on children’s development, this study firstly discusses the characteristics and current situation of the pro-social behaviors and family parenting styles of stunted children, then researching the relationship between family parenting styles and prosocial behaviors of children with developmental delays and applying the interviewing method to exploring further about the influence factors and patterns of stunted children’s pro-social behaviors. In this study,301 children with developmental delays in special education schools, institutions, integrated schools and other places around Chongqing were selected as research projects;questionnaires of children’s pro-social behavior and family parenting styles were filled in by parents or main caregivers;then, under the premise of voluntary participation in the interview study, typical subjects,12 parents were selected to be used to analyse the influence and relationship of family parenting on parental behaviors of children with developmental retardation according to the type of family parenting reported in the questionnaire study and the parental behaviors of children with developmental retardation. Conclusions are drawn as follows:1.The pro-social behaviors of children with developmental delays are at the middle level.Among them, the most pro social behavior that children with developmental retardation show is cooperative behavior, followed by social moral behavior, sharing behavior and helping behavior, showing the least comfort behavior.2.In terms of family parenting styles for children with developmental delays, the three dimensions of family parenting styles scored from high to low are authoritarian, authoritative and enlightened, and laissez-faire.3.There is a statistically significant difference between laissez-faire dimension and the total scores of the cooperative dimension, sharing dimension and helping dimension of stunted children’s pro-social behaviors. And there is a striking negative correlation; There is also a statistical difference between the authoritative enlightened dimension and children’s cooperative behavior and moral behavior, and there is a striking positive correlation.4.According to the results of the regression model analysis, the variable that has a significant impact on the prediction of pro social behavior in children with developmental retardation is the "laissez-faire dimension".5.There is a significant interaction between the various dimensions of family parenting styles and the development of pro-social behaviors of children with developmental delay, and the interaction of the three dimensions of family parenting styles is not significant.6.The interview research results show that the factors which affect the pro-social behavior of children with developmental delay include internal and external aspects.According to the influence of different factors on their pro-social behaviors, the relationship among these factors is further explored. The content of the interview research can provide quantitative research. It is further discovered that teachers guide the development of children’s pro-social behaviors, and assist parents in adjusting parenting methods, providing parents with necessary support.Differences in family parenting methods can easily lead to confusion in children’s behavior standards.
