Research On The Development Strategy Of GZXH Independent College

Independent colleges are institutions of higher learning that implement undergraduate education by cooperating with social organizations or individuals and using non-national financial funds.It is a new mode of running a school under the background of the popularization of higher education in China,and it is the product of the innovation of running a school system of higher education.The independent college’s running mode of operation is complementary,experimental and dualism.However,with the development of national education reform and the continuous progress of independent colleges,the contradiction between these independent colleges and their parent universities is outstanding.In terms of this issue,the government has gradually adopted the plan of "transfer","merger" and "withdrawal".As a result,independent colleges will face new choices in order to development.The state education department has issued policy documents related to the development of independent colleges one after another.It is the future development direction of independent colleges to transform independent colleges into ordinary undergraduate universities with independent organization.However,how to seize the opportunity in the challenge of the re-establishment of independent colleges,combine with their own actual situation,formulate development strategies adapted to the educational background of the new era to promote the long-term development of independent colleges after the re-establishment,and create a unique brand of independent colleges is the key issue that independent colleges must think about and solve.This paper takes GZXH Independent College as an example to discuss the development strategy of the college under the background of the transfer of independent colleges.First of all,this paper start with the research status of strategic management and independent college transfer,and analyze the internal and external environment of independent colleges.On the one hand,this paper uses pest and Porter’s five force analysis method to study the external environment faced by GZXH independent college and analyze the three opportunities it faces;on the other hand,through the analysis of the internal school running infrastructure,teachers,discipline construction,teaching materials and infrastructure,this paper summarizes the four advantages and four disadvantages of GZXH independent college.Then the SWOT model is used to match the internal and external factors,and four types of strategies are obtained.Through comparative analysis,so strategy is selected as the development strategy of GZXH independent college.Finally,through optimizing the internal governance structure,strengthening the construction of professional characteristics,strengthening the construction of talent team,building characteristic brand and other ways to promote the implementation of the strategy,in order to ensure the sustainable development of GZXH independent college.
