| 3-6 years old is a critical period for children’s language development.English activities in kindergartens can cultivate children’s interest in learning English,build children’s confidence in learning English,and lay a good foundation for future English learning(Gao Ruilin,2012).Children’s English collective activities based on game teaching method have become a common teaching method for teachers.This will not only make children’s English activities interesting,but also develop their cognitive ability and communication ability during the play.Game teaching method plays a very important role in English teaching activities.What is the application status of English game teaching method in group teaching of large classes in kindergartens? What are the causes of these problems? In view of the above problems,what are the improvement strategies?In view of the above research questions,based on player theory,second language acquisition theory and multiple intelligence theory,this paper takes 202 kindergarten teachers in senior grade in Yinchuan as the investigation objects,and observes and analyzes the English game activities of children in senior grade in Yinchuan kindergartens.On this basis,the author launched a series of investigations by designing questionnaires and teacher interview outlines.Combined with the results of the two methods,this paper carries out the data integration analysis,finds out the problems in the application of the game teaching method at present,and questions whether the game teaching method can stimulate children’s English learning interest and good learning motivation.In addition,through the observation of English collective games and case analysis,the whole link of teaching activities is observed and analyzed.Through practical observation,we can get the degree of children’s interest in game activities,and explore the specific problems existing in the process of game activities.It is found that game teaching method can promote children’s interest in English learning and enhance the effect of group activities,but there are also some problems.Teachers’ understanding of game teaching method is not deep enough,the design of game activities is not innovative,and the relationship between game and teaching is not thoroughly understood.According to the research design and research practice,this paper puts forward that the kindergarten should change the educational concept,optimize the game objectives and refine the content of teacher training,fundamentally strengthen the construction of teaching staff and enrich the evaluation and supervision system;Stimulate teachers’ core competitiveness,establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation system of children’s English games,in order to better carry out kindergarten English games collective activities. |
