At the beginning of 2020,the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic(hereinafter referred to as the new coronavirus epidemic)began to spread worldwide at a very fast pace,affecting the production and life of people all over the world,and also causing great impact on the majority of teachers and students.In response to the call for "no classes,no school",universities are organizing online teaching to ensure normal teaching.It is worth considering how to organize online public physical education during the new epidemic,to motivate students to participate in physical exercise,to ensure the quality of online public physical education,and to enhance students’ physical health.The study used literature and questionnaire methods to investigate the current situation of online public physical education teaching in 19 undergraduate institutions in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region under the influence of the New Crown epidemic.The study investigated the current situation of online teaching of public physical education in 19 undergraduate institutions in Xinjiang under the influence of the New Crown epidemic from five aspects: the current situation of curriculum construction in Xinjiang undergraduate institutions during the New Crown epidemic,the basic situation of teachers and online teaching,the basic situation of students and their participation in online physical education,and the problems in the process of developing online physical education and the corresponding development countermeasures,and came to the following conclusions.1.19 undergraduate institutions in Xinjiang attach importance to the development of online physical education teaching,and have formulated implementation plans for online physical education teaching according to the actual situation of our university.(1)The selection of online physical education content is more inclined to some physical education items with lower requirements for venue equipment,and some teachers carry out theoretical courses such as physical health and physical health care;(2)Online physical education teaching methods mainly use online teaching tools such as Changjiang Rain Classroom,Nail and Tencent Conference System,and draw on others’ catechism for teaching;(3)Online physical education teaching evaluation is mainly conducted through the evaluation of students’ daily(3)Online physical education teaching evaluation is mainly through comprehensive consideration of students’ daily attendance and course work completion,etc.Formative evaluation is mainly through feedback from video homework and sports APP punch cards to make judgments,and summative evaluation is postponed until the end of the semester or offline physical fitness assessment after returning to school.2.Before the outbreak of the new crown epidemic,public physical education teachers in most schools had not experienced online physical education.After the online physical education work was launched during the new crown epidemic period,they consumed a lot of time and energy for lesson preparation and reviewing assignments every day,and there were also problems such as teachers’ inability to control students’ learning status at all times and lack of relevant course resources.Some teachers lacked proper guidance for learners and could not reflect the advantages of online public physical education courses.3.Students expressed their understanding and support for the online teaching work carried out by the school,and generally approved of the teachers’ teaching attitude and methods of online teaching.The problems that exist online need to be solved,and students expect to be able to carry out normal teaching activities followed by a new hybrid teaching mode to promote the development of physical education courses toward diversification.4.The factors that affect the online public physical education teaching work in Xinjiang universities under the influence of the new crown epidemic are mainly: the lack of novelty in course content setting,the limited teaching ability of teachers,the lack of proper learning attitude of students,the lack of teacher-student interaction,and the site facilities and network conditions cannot meet the teaching needs.The following suggestions are made based on the factors affecting online teaching.Xinjiang undergraduate colleges and universities should give full play to their faculty strengths,set up special online teaching teams,make full use of their teaching experience and scientific research advantages,make overall planning for online public physical education teaching,optimize the teaching platform of online public physical education courses,provide reasonable and adequate resources such as venues and equipment,and ensure teaching quality;teachers should focus on improving their online teaching abilities and mastering Internet application Teachers should focus on improving their online teaching ability,mastering the Internet application and strengthening the online teaching interaction between teachers and students;adopting incentive policies to encourage students to correct their learning attitudes,actively participate in classroom learning and physical exercise,cooperate with teachers to complete teaching tasks and develop together to achieve a better self.
