At present,my country’s economy has gradually entered a new stage of development. In order to actively respond to the impact brought by the global industrial transformation,we must find a solution as soon as possible to effectively promote the coordinated development of industries and improve the core competitiveness of the industry.Based on the reality of China, how should we adjust and upgrade the industry, this will be a difficulty that we need to overcome now.In this new era, opportunities and challenges coexist. How to speed up the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and establish "new advantages" are issues that we need to explore at present. As an indispensable and important factor in the upgrading of industrial structure, human capital is closely related to the industrial structure. Therefore, clarifying the impact of human capital on the upgrading of industrial structure will help to solve the current problems. The overall structure and content of this thesis are as follows: First, through the analysis of the relevant literature on human capital and industrial structure, and expounds the relevant theoretical mechanism. Then,it reviews and compares the development status of China’s human capital and manufacturing industry, and explains the phenomenon of China’s lack of human capital investment and regional unbalanced development. Then,on the basis of theoretical research, using the general fixed effect model, based on the provincial panel data from 2009 to 2019,an empirical study on the effect of China’s manufacturing structure upgrading is carried out.At the same time, the mediation effect model is used to test the mechanism analysis, and the regional heterogeneity analysis is used to examine the difference in the promotion effect of human capital on the upgrading of manufacturing industry in different regions. Finally, from the perspective of human capital, corresponding policy suggestions are put forward for the development of my country’s manufacturing industry.Empirical research finds that my country’s human capital plays an important role in promoting the structural upgrading of the manufacturing industry. The relative price of factors and R&D capacity have a certain mediating effect on the upgrading of manufacturing structure. From a regional perspective, human capital in the eastern and western regions has an obvious positive effect on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry, while it has no obvious positive effect on the central region, and the strength of human capital in the eastern region is stronger than that in the western region..Based on this, corresponding suggestions are put forward: first, expand the level of opening to the outside world and introduce high-end technical talents;second, integrate resources and optimize the allocation of resource elements;third, increase investment in public vocational education and cultivate practical talents;fourth, guide enterprises to innovate and enhance R&D capabilities;fifth, pay attention to differences between regions and formulate talent strategies that conform to their own development. |
