Benefiting from the development of the national economy,the development scale of my country’s sports industry is growing,and the representatives of new industrial forms such as the sports exhibition industry are also developing continuously.As a historical city and a national central city,Xi’an has obvious advantages in terms of geographical location and economic development,but the development of its sports exhibition industry is not satisfactory.Due to the lack of personnel and other practical development problems,the research on this topic has strong practical and theoretical significance.This paper takes the competitiveness of Xi’an sports convention and exhibition industry as the research object,takes the entropy right TOPSIS method,delphi method,mathematical statistics method as the mainstay,the literature method and the expert interview method as a supplement to the data,the logical analysis method runs through the whole text,and based on the typical research model of industrial competitiveness-diamond model,through the collation and analysis of the development status of Xi’an sports convention and exhibition industry,a relatively complete evaluation index system for the competitiveness of urban sports convention and exhibition industry is constructed,with Xi’an and Chengdu,Zhengzhou,Wuhan,The empirical comparative study of the five cities in Shenyang is aimed at comprehensively grasping the current situation and problems of the development of sports conventions and exhibitions in Xi’an through in-depth research on the sports convention and exhibition industry in Xi’an and four other cities.Provide suggestions and suggestions for the improvement of the competitiveness of Xi’an’s sports convention and exhibition industry and high-quality development.Through literature analysis,index construction and empirical research,this article summarizes the following conclusions and recommendations:In conclusion:（1）According to the positive ideal and relative closeness C values calculated by the entropy weight TIOSIS method,it can be seen that the most preferred solution for the competitiveness of the sports exhibition industry in the five cities is Zhengzhou,with a C value of 0.926,followed by Chengdu,Wuhan and Xi’an ranked fourth with0.04,and Shenyang was the closest one.The competitiveness of sports exhibitions in Xi’an is weaker in the comparison of the five cities.（2）All aspects of the development of related industries in Xi’an are relatively stable.Regardless of the total tourism revenue,the number of tourists,the number of catering companies above designated size,the number of hotels above designated size,and the level of development of transportation,the advantages of transportation conditions are relatively high.Appearance;the overall performance of government support is also strong.With the help of the development opportunities in the post-National Games period,the development of the sports exhibition industry will be greatly improved.（3）For the demand market,the large difference in score between Xi’an and Zhengzhou,which ranked first,indicates that there is a large gap.The demand competitiveness of the sports exhibition industry is mainly reflected in the number of sports exhibitions,the number of domestic sports exhibitors,and domestic sports exhibition audiences.In terms of quantity,per capita disposable income,and per capita sports consumption of residents,Xi’an sports exhibition is small in scale,the number of professional visitors and the attractiveness of exhibitors are low,so it is in a great position in the comparison of the five status.Suggest:（1）Xi’an should continue to make full use of its advantages in transportation resources and talents,and give full play to its resource advantages.At the same time,it will increase activities in the use of venues and the organization of sports exhibitions.The completion and use of Xi’an Silk Road International Convention and
