As one of the important forms of social participation of the aged, the elderly voluntary service has been advocated continuously in our country in recent years. It is not uncommon for the elderly to participate in various community services and community governance as volunteers in various cities, and they have made a lot of achievements, but many problems have gradually emerged, such as the high rate of volunteer turnover, lack of continuity of service, lack of service awareness. In addition, the lack of autonomy and over-reliance on social workers are also common problems in the process of many elderly volunteers participating in community services and community governance,it has a negative impact on the stability and permanence of volunteer services for the elderly.Based on the research of the elderly volunteers and the social work involved in the elderly volunteers service, this paper takes the members of the“Public welfare reporting team”,who are trained by the X City Social Work Organization in the X community,as the object of investigation,by using the methods of questionnaire, interview and participant observation, and taking the endogenous motivation theory as the research angle, this paper carried out the research on the improvement of elderly volunteers’ service autonomy through group work intervention.Firstly, the basic situation of the elderly volunteers in the X community commonweal reporting team is analyzed, this paper analyzes the lack of service autonomy of the elderly volunteers from three aspects: excessive dependence on social workers, weak service initiative, and heavy dependence on resources acquisition. And on this basis to explore the causes of its formation, that is,the elderly volunteers service“Subject” consciousness is weak and the lack of service motivation of members, from the interviews,we know that the deep-seated reason is the insufficient construction and system cultivation of volunteer organizations.Secondly,on the basis of the evaluation of the autonomy of the elderly volunteers, starting from the cultivation of volunteer organizations, from the point of view of the identity and autonomy of the organization members, through group work practice intervention, the service autonomy of the elderly volunteers can be enhanced from three aspects: enhancing the cognition and identification of dual service meaning, cultivating the“Subject” consciousness and enhancing the ability, and strengthening the willingness to participate under the dual motivation. Finally,by comparing and analyzing the questionnaire data before and after the intervention, and by eliminating the interference of the factors such as individual and environment that can not change too much in a short time, the results show that, through the intervention of the growth group cultivated by the“Beneficial family” public welfare reporting team, the psychological identity of the elderly volunteers has been improved to a certain extent,to some extent, this proves that the group practice of social workers involved in the promotion of the autonomy of elderly volunteers under the guidance of endogenous dynamics theory is effective. At the same time, the psychological identification also promoted the behavior identification to some extent, for example, elderly volunteers are more active than before when participating in the discussion of the service of the public service reporting team.In addition, from the comparison of data, although there is a certain change in the behavior of the elderly volunteers, but not significant.Because the team intervention time is short, and the transformation from psychological identity to behavioral identity is not overnight,so we need to continue to strengthen the psychological identity, and in the follow-up training for the elderly volunteers to continue to create practical opportunities to enhance effective behavior, enhance the elderly volunteers’ behavior identity. At last, the paper summarizes and reflects the research process and practice process of the group work involved in the elderly voluntary service autonomy, and puts forward some relevant suggestions.
