| In recent years,as the fight against poverty continues to deepen,education in poor areas has received attention from all walks of life.The introduction of education policies for poverty alleviation has provided strong support for the development of education in poor areas.The implementation of the special post program has provided a strong guarantee for the construction of the teaching force in rural compulsory education.It is important to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of poverty.The dual context of poverty alleviation in education and the implementation of the special posting program,The professional development of teachers on special assignment still faces many problems.Therefore,A study of the current situation,problems and countermeasures of the professional development of teachers on special assignment.It is of great significance to promote the professional development of special teachers and strengthen the construction of special teachers.Special assignment teachers face a complex external environment such as diversified economic structure in rural areas,weak cultural foundation,poor teaching hardware conditions,and massive loss of student population.This dissertation situates the professional development of special post teachers in the context of the implementation of education policies to alleviate poverty.A case study of 20 teachers on special assignment was conducted by means of in-depth interviews.We analyze the current situation of professional development of special teachers around two aspects of survival and development.Reality,Teachers on special assignment face multiple pressures on their lives,families,emotions,etc.Most are able to put their feet on the ground and devote themselves to education.However,some people see special teachers as a career transition and perceive teacher professional development in a utilitarian and one-sided perspective.The level of professional knowledge,professional competence and professional ethics is obviously insufficient.The analysis of the current situation concluded that the professional development problems of special teachers are manifested in: Inability to fully understand the significance of professional development,lack of initiative in professional development,lack of energy in professional development and lack of relevance in learning,etc.The reasons for this are poor educational infrastructure and inadequate financial investment due to insufficient poverty alleviation in education;insufficient vocational training and inadequate protection measures due to inadequate implementation of the special post policy;uneven professional standards and insufficient teaching experience due to a lax induction process;unmet needs for self-fulfillment and respect due to psychological needs;and inadequate implementation of supporting measures.The low social status and lack of effective incentive evaluation system caused by the lack of supporting measures.This dissertation addresses the issue of professional development for teachers on special assignment.suggesting coping strategies from three perspectives: government,society and individuals.Specifically: On the government side,government departments should strengthen the investment in basic education,improve the treatment guarantee system,smooth the professional development channels of special teachers and broaden the ideas of special teachers’ work;On the social side,the setting of teacher training programs in colleges and universities should be regulated,emphasis should be placed on before service and post-service training for special teachers,and the guidance of public opinion and the attention of schools to the professional development of special teachers should be strengthened;On the personal side,special teachers should clarify the importance of professional development,focus on improving their professionalism and learning ability,reflect on teaching on a regular basis,and focus on comprehensive ability and academic upgrading.With the joint efforts of the government,the society and the special teachers,the professional development channels of special teachers are guaranteed to be smooth,providing a theoretical basis for improving the standard of rural compulsory education and building a stable and high-quality rural special teachers’ team. |
