| Social anxiety is a form of anxiety,refers to people in the process of social communication show a strong tension and fear of anxiety and avoidance behavior.The research indicates that the more college students pay attention to others’ affirmation and evaluation of themselves,the more likely they are to have communication anxiety,and the less likely they are to accept themselves(Gao Wenfeng,Cong Zhong,2000).Therefore,on the basis of exploring the relationship between college students’ self-acceptance,rumination and social anxiety,this study explored the intervention effect of group counseling training focusing on short-term treatment on college students’ self-acceptance,and tried to help reduce college students’ social anxiety by intervening in college students’ self-acceptance.This study consists of two parts: the self-acceptance,rumination and communication anxiety of a pair of college students were measured,the differences of these three psychological variables in different groups of college students were compared,and the relationship between the three variables was analyzed.The ruminant Thinking Scale(RRS),self-acceptance Questionnaire(SAQ)and Communication anxiety Scale(IAS)were used to investigate about 800 college students.Individuals with a total score of 45 or more on the Communication anxiety Scale(IAS)in study 1 were selected to comprehensively evaluate their subjective willingness to participate and basic information,and their consent was obtained.There were 24 college students with high score of communication anxiety.Twelve patients were randomly assigned to the experimental group and twelve to the control group.Twelve experimental group of college students for 8 weeks 8 times,each 90 minutes of regimental adjuvant intervention,while the control group did not receive experimental treatment.The effects of the experiment were evaluated by comparing the variables measured before and after.The results showed that :(1)self-acceptance negatively predicted social anxiety significantly;(2)Rumination partially mediated the relationship between self-acceptance and social anxiety;(3)Self-acceptance group counseling intervention can improve college students’ self-acceptance and reduce their social anxiety.There were no significant differences in rumination,self-acceptance and social anxiety in the control group.The results of this study help to explain the influence of self-acceptance on college students’ social anxiety and its internal mechanism,and provide some enlightenment for the intervention and improvement of college students’ social anxiety and the promotion of their physical and mental health development. |
