Turpan-Hami Basin is located in the eastern part of Xinjiang, the particularity of its geographical location and natural environment provides a superior foundation for development of basin culture of ancient human. The cultural relics of prehistoric archeology in Turpan and Hami Basin are abundant. The focuse of academic research is systematic and comprehensive study on archaeological culture, so as to explore construction age of the cemetery and nature of the culture, as well as the relationship between the cemetery and neighboring cultures. However, rare comparative studies of burial customs which was reflected in archaeological remains of these two basins were made.This article will be based on the original excavated materials of prehistoric burial of the Turpan-Hami Basin. A summary of burial custom features of these two basins has been made through the analysis of tomb structure, burial accessories and combination feature, and burial customs. A further comparation of these factors, come to a full view of prehistoric burial custom in the Turpan-Hami Basin. In addition, in the process of analysising the reasons that lead to the differences between this two basins'burial customs, we can distinguish the original burial customs from the alien one, and to find out these two basin burial customs may be affected by the distinctive cultures in regions along the Silk Road.
