With the continuous enhancement of China’s comprehensive power and the gradual implementation of the “Belt and Road”,a boom of learning Chinese has been raised worldwide.Thailand,as a friendly neighbor of China in a long run,actively promotes Chinese language teaching,which has formed a good demonstration effect and showed the “leading” characteristic.In June 2019,the author had been to Khon Kaen Industrial and Community Education College to teach Chinese for one year.During this period,the author found that this college lacked active and effective classroom culture.For example,some students were often late for class,lack of initiative in learning or even disrupted the classroom discipline.These behaviors would affect the effectiveness of Chinese teaching.Some students were still at the first stage after learning Chinese for several years.Therefore,it’s necessary to investigate the classroom culture and effective teaching in vocational college.This paper is based on the one-year teaching practice in Khon Kaen Industrial and Community Education College.Through the questionnaire and the classroom observations of Thai vocational college,the author summarizes the characteristics of classroom culture,the current status of effective teaching and how the classroom culture affect the effective teaching.On the basis of these,the author gives some targeted suggestions for effective Chinese teaching in Thai vocational college.The main contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the reasons of choosing the thesis and the research methods of this paper.This part reviews the research status of classroom culture and effective teaching and defines relevant concepts such as classroom culture and effective teaching.The first chapter is the questionnaire on the classroom culture and the effective teaching of Khon Kaen vocational college,which includes the questionnaire of teacher and that of students.Through questionnaire,we can know about the current situation of Chinese classroom culture and effective Chinese teaching in Khon Kaen vocational college.In the second chapter,based on the questionnaire and connected with the author’s teaching experience and classroom observations,the author summarizes the main characteristics of Khon Kaen vocational college.For example,the author found that the management of Chinese class is relatively loose,there is no clear teaching plan in this college and some students were often late for class or even absent.But the relationship between the teacher and students is relatively harmonious and the classroom atmosphere is relaxing and happy.The third chapter is mainly the description and the summarization of the current situation of effective Chinese teaching in Khon Kaen.Through the analysis of the questionnaire results and the author’s classroom observations,the current status in Khon Kaen is mainly reflected in: the lack of pertinence in teaching content,the insufficient completeness teaching objectives,the lack of learning motivation of students and the effectiveness teaching activities is not prominent.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the influence of the classroom culture of Khon Kaen vocational college on effective Chinese teaching.It was found that the classroom culture had a certain negative influence on teaching effectiveness.In the fifth chapter,the author proposes some effective Chinese teaching suggestions for Khon Kaen vocational college from three aspects of the college,the Chinese teacher and the Thai students.For example,the college should actively promote the construction of Chinese classroom culture,improve the disciplines of classroom management and improve effective teaching systems.Chinese teacher should create positive classroom atmosphere,strictly implement classroom disciplines and improve classroom teaching efficiency.Students need to develop effective learning awareness and abide by classroom rules.The final part is the conclusion.This part summarizes the content of whole paper and points out the deficiencies of the paper.
