Proficient use of Chinese in communication is the ultimate goal of learners,and primary oral English course is a very important stage in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.How to stimulate learners’ desire to speak and communicate through oral communication is the goal and focus of teaching.The scaffolding theory produced on the basis of the recent development area emphasizes that it is student-centered,starting with the knowledge that students have mastered,and through teachers to build scaffolds,learners can skillfully communicate with each other in the process of climbing scaffolds.therefore,it is suitable to be used in oral English classroom teaching.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part,introduction.This paper analyzes the research purpose and significance of this paper,and introduces the research contents and research methods.The previous research results are analyzed and summarized,and the scaffolding teaching method is summarized.The second part is the investigation and research on the application of scaffolding teaching method in the primary oral course of Chinese as a foreign language.The questionnaires and interviews are designed for teachers and students respectively.Based on investigation and analysis and interviews,this paper summarizes the problems in the application of scaffolding teaching method in primary oral English class.In the third part,combined with the results of the survey and the contents of the interview,the author puts forward some suggestions from the point of view of students and teachers.The fourth part,the conclusion,summarizes the full text,puts forward the direction of further research,the shortcomings of the paper,and gives the teaching design in the appendix.
