Research On The Empowerment Of Social Work In The Implementation Of Community Correction Policy In Guangzhou

With the continuous development and progress of human society,community correction as a more humane way of penalty execution has gradually entered people's vision.Community correction not only effectively reduces the high cost of traditional imprisonment penalty,but also more effectively promotes the harmonious and stable development of society.Therefore,Guangzhou's judicial and other relevant departments have formulated relevant policies for community correction.As the executor of this policy,social workers,under the guidance and support of the main body of policy implementation,that is,the judicial organ,help community prisoners correct their deviant psychology and behavior and finally reintegrate into society.In the process of policy implementation,community prisoners are bound to face many difficulties and challenges brought about by the crime itself,individuals,society and policies and regulations.At this time,social workers need to take active measures to empower community prisoners,enhance their self-confidence,and improve their ability to understand and solve problems.At present,Guangzhou's community correction policy has already stipulated some contents that community prisoners need to be empowered,but there are still some problems in the implementation process.Especially in the process of empowering the special group of community prisoners,there are still many problems that need our social workers to solve.The focus of this study is to study the empowerment of social work arising from the implementation of the current community correction policy in Guangzhou.In this paper,taking area s of Guangzhou city as an example,a large amount of literature collection work has been done in the early stage,and the data investigation has been done well.In the mid-term,the author participated in the observation of community correction work in Area S,and selected relevant community prisoners and community correction staff to conduct interviews,obtaining first-hand field investigation data.In the later period,these materials and research results were analyzed and sorted out,and the problems of social work empowerment in the implementation of community correction policies in Area S and theircauses were summarized and analyzed,so as to further put forward reasonable practical suggestions.
