With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the status of students'learning subjectivity is improving continuously from the implementation of curriculum standard to the cultivation of core literacy.The thematic instruction in western countries is highly focused on students.It emphasizes that teaching pattern through extensive thematic exploration has many reference functions for our current subject teaching.This thesis is based on the research results of thematic instruction at home and abroad.Aiming at the current junior geography teaching in China,an instructional design pattern based on thematic instruction is constructed.The pattern is divided into three links:Theme Generation,Theme Exploration and Theme Expansion.The Theme Generation is the key to thematic instruction,and all follow-up activities must be carried out around the generated theme.The Theme Generation is based on the careful study of the learning goals,the students' extensive self-study and the creation of the situation.These themes are centered on students,start from the cognitive development characteristics,life experience,cultural customs and knowledge background of children in junior middle school.The Theme Exploration link is completed in the class,and is the main part of the thematic instruction.First,it takes the theme as the center of the problem to divert thinking,and then makes a solution path by diverting the central question of choice,creates the exploration system according to the solution path.Then,from the perspective of developing students'subjectivity,changing the role of teachers and enriching the forms of activities,it designs exploration activities.Finally it perfects the exploration system,summarizes the knowledge of geography,and on the other hand,sorts out the problem solving thoughts.The Theme Expansion link is to review the learning knowledge,on the one hand after the completion of the Theme Exploration,on the other hand,some questions or new themes in the Theme Exploration class are further explored in the form of homework.Finally,the implementation of thematic instruction pattern of academic achievement is designed,comprehensive evaluation is carried out,and academic achievement is identified under thematic instruction.Taking the geography teaching of the next semester of Grade Seven as an example,a series of themes has been completed.This thesis studies three types of thematic instruction design through cases analysis:thematic instruction design by the Geographic picture,thematic instruction design by the fictional story and interdisciplinary thematic instruction design.Through case analysis,on the one hand,it shows the application examples of thematic instructional design pattern.On the other hand,through case expansion and case analysis,it summarizes the ways and strategies of thematic instruction.Through the application of one semester in Danyang Eighth Middle School,Jiangsu Province,this research found that the application of the thematic instruction design pattern promoted the development of students' multiple intelligences and strengthened the training of students' higher-order thinking by using classroom observation and homework analysis.Especially through junior middle school students' geography learning approaches questionnaire research and analysis,after the implementation of this pattern,students' geography learning approaches have changed greatly,and students use more deep approaches.In the study of geography,students adopt more deep approaches and realize the self construction of geographical knowledge through the association of geographical knowledge,the association of knowledge among various disciplines,and the association of geography and life.This teaching pattern has stimulated students' genuine love for geography learning and enhanced their deep motivation for learning geography.
