Red culture is the revolutionary cultural resource created by Chinese communists,advanced intellectuals and the masses,guided by the scientific theory of Marxism-Leninism during the period of revolutionary war and socialist construction in China.It has absorbed,integrated,reorganized and upgraded many advanced cultural achievements at all times and in all over the world,containing rich revolutionary spirit and profound historical and cultural connotation.During the period of revolutionary war and socialist construction in China,there had been many great events and important activities in Gansu province.It is recorded that there are over 720 red sites with unique regionalism as well as spirit connotation in the province,which have played key role during that time.However,the resources have been applied more in the historical,literary,ideological and political research instead of art teaching.At the same time,as a significant component of tourism resources,they have also made contribution to the increasing local revenue.What's more,the art class represents the most intuitive carrier,it is able to help educate students in moral and aesthetics.Given that,we can integrate red art culture into the art education in primary and secondary schools,and work to turn the integration into a kind of acceptable art language and visual elements for students,so as to lead students to learn about red culture and raise their level of artistic appreciation while getting a comprehensive understanding of revolutionary war culture as well as socialist construction culture,which has given unique educational significance in cultivating students to establish and practice socialist core values.In the new curriculum reform,the three-level curriculum concept has been put forward,which means three-level course management in nation,local and school.The concept encourages the local government to develop curriculum resources to adapt the place more.As a carrier of tremendous revolutionary spirit,the red cultural resources of Gansu province should be integrated into the art teaching in primary and secondary schools,enriching the content of art course,expanding the methods of art teaching and inheriting and promoting local red culture much effectively.This paper selects red art cultural resources that are suitable for primary and secondary school classes to do curriculum development and practical exploration by classifying and screening a large number of collected red art cultural resources in Gansu province with documentary method and fieldwork.The article is divided into five parts.In the introduction of the first chapter,starting by reports of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,then combining with the analysis of the red cultural resources of Gansu province to discuss the research background,illuminating the purpose and significance of integrating the developing red art curriculum in Gansu province into the art classes of primary and secondary schools,analyzing the current research status and defining the concepts of relevant red culture and red art culture.The second chapter analyzes the status of red art culture in Gansu province on the basis of red historical background,the classification of red art cultural resources in accordance with specific case analysis.The next chapter analyzes deeply the importance,current situation and measures of red art culture in Gansu province.The fourth chapter comes up with a curriculum design in comments · appreciation,modeling · performance,design · application and comprehensive · exploration.The last part is the conclusion of this paper.
