Research On Time Management Of High School Students

Time is the most precious resource.Time is non-renewable,irreplaceable and absolutely fair.Time passes as fleeting.Especially for the time racers of ordinary high school students,it is particularly important to discuss about time management.This study is guided by "fifth generation time management theory" theoretically,and takes the "high school student time management questionnaire " as the research tool.A questionnaire to 340 high school students and some individual deep surveys were conducted in J high school of Jiangsu Province.Based on the data analysis and the survey report,the status of high school students' time management was eventually found.The main causes of the current situation were discussed;the main problems drew from the data analysis;their daily life situation was concerned combined;the countermeasures were proposed.First,the survey report shows that it is still on a medium level concerned the time management status of the high school students in J high school.By analyzing the differences of genders,grades,subject selections,academic performance,parenting received,parents occupations,etc.,we got the conclusion that all the items mentioned above have an impact on the time management of high school students.Among which,girls manage time better than boys;the third grades in high school are the most unsatisfactory in time management;the liberal arts students manage their time better than science students;the Sense of time value,priority selection and goal setting has significant differences referred to different parents occupations.Second,it is complex of the reasons for the different status of high school students' time management,which can be summarized as following: individual differences in high school students affect the level of time management,differences in the types of high school students affect the status of time management,the importance of time management education in schools affects time management awareness,differences in family environment affect the level of time management.Third,according to the reasons for the different status of high school students' time management,combined with their actual facts,this study proposes practical raising strategies.High school students should try their best to improve their time management ability.Schools should create a good environment for the cultivation of students' time management ability;teachers should strengthen the guidance and control on students' time management;parents should guide and supervise their children's time management.
