The development of science and technology in the network era has brought profound changes to education.The traditional classroom teaching mode is facing unprecedented challenges.The reform of talent training mode,classroom teaching mode and teaching methods is imminent.The teaching ability of college teachers needs to be developed,and the teaching level and quality need to be improved.In the current context,teachers’ educational and teaching ability is largely reflected in Teachers’ information-based teaching ability,which has become an important indicator to judge teachers’ overall teaching ability.Only by constantly improving the information-based teaching ability of university teachers,can we improve the quality and level of teaching and promote the common development of teachers and students.From the four dimensions of consciousness,accomplishment,ability and research,this study establishes an analysis framework,compiles asurvey questionnaire,and carries out a sample survey of university teachers in China to focus on the current situation of information-based teaching ability of university teachers in Guangxi.The sample size covers most provinces,comparing the information-based teaching ability of university teachers in Guangxi with that of universities in China and other provinces,the conclusions are as follows: first,the overall level of information-based teaching ability of university teachers in Guangxi is low,and there are significant differences in four different dimensions;second,the information-based teaching ability of university teachers in Guangxi presents differences under different demographic variables;Thirdly,there is a long distance between the overall information-based teaching ability of Guangxi University Teachers and the information-based teaching ability of national university teachers and university teachers outside the region.At the same time,the survey shows that the current Guangxi University Teachers as a whole have a certain degree of information-based teaching ability,but there are some problems,such as insufficient attention to information-based teaching,narrow coverage of information-based teaching design and training,unsatisfactory training effect,uneven development of information-based teaching ability in four dimensions.Based on this,this study summarizes the specific strategies to improve the information-based teaching ability of Guangxi university teachers,such as building the information-basedteaching ability standard system of university teachers,improving the information-based teaching ability promotion mechanism of university teachers,combining the material supply of software and hardware resources with the ideological strengthening of publicity and education,and improving the comprehensive quality of colonial information-based teaching of university teachers.Through this research,we hope that colleges and relevant education departments will pay more attention to the information-based teaching of teachers,and increase the training of the information-based teaching ability of teachers in Guangxi Colleges and universities,so that teachers can consciously improve their own information-based teaching literacy and ability,improve the teaching level and quality as a whole,and keep up with the pace of the Internet era.
