The concept of space is one of the core qualities of mathematics,has a very important role in the development of students,the sixth and seventh grade students as a key stage of the early transition stage,the development level of students' concept of space is particularly important,determines its later mathematical learning.This paper adopts the methods of literature review and questionnaire survey to compile the questionnaire of students' spatial concepts,and statistics the scores of students' spatial concepts in various dimensions.Qualitative and quantitative research methods are used to analyze the differences of students' spatial concepts in various dimensions.By Pearson correlation analysis,the students' space concept dimension difference factors(age,grade,family intervention,school,after-school tutoring,hands-on,attitude toward mathematics)and space concept,Pearson correlation analysis and test in grade six,seven students space concept and its difference whether a causal relationship between factors.The results show that:(1)On the whole,the students' spatial concepts performed well.In each test,the students performed well in understanding the graph,Graphical location and measurement dimensions,with a high score weight,and little difference in the students' spatial concepts.However,the ability of view and expansion diagram was relatively weak,with a big difference in the students' spatial concepts.There are significant differences in students' spatial concepts in terms of gender,whether they have family intervention,whether they like math,age,grade,whether they participate in extracurricular tutoring,and whether they like hands-on operation.(2)Subjects students space conception in each dimension Pearson correlation test,know the graphics,graphics transform,graphics,location and measuring,view and expansion plan and the total score of the students' space concept presents significant positive correlation between the two,suggesting that spatial concepts and the contents of each test are closely related,at the same time,the students' space concept and its age,gender,grade,family intervention,attitude to mathematics,participate in the remedial class,whether to have hands-on hobby,a recent the math exam.There was a causal relationship between students' age,family intervention,school,participation in extracurricular tutoring,attitude towards mathematics and their spatial concepts,while there was no causal relationship between students' gender and their spatial concepts.(3)The students in each dimension of the space concept have some problems,such as fuzzy concept,unclear examination of the topic,bad attitude,space imagination ability is not up to,careless and so on.(4)The construction level of hardware and software facilities in each school is not consistent,and teachers' abilities are also greatly different.Based on the research conclusion,the following Suggestions are put forward for the promotion of students' spatial concepts in grade 6 and grade 7.Strengthen the family education consciousness,the family school joint effort trains the student to operate ability;Pay attention to the diversity of teaching,actively cultivate students' interest in learning mathematics;Make full use of the students' space concept of the existence of a variety of errors,targeted teaching;Encourage to participate in extracurricular practice activities,strengthen the relationship between teaching and real life;Improve the school hardware and software facilities,strengthen the school information construction,increase the use of multimedia equipment.
