Chinese "the whole book reading" teaching theory has a long history.In 2017,the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China promulgated ordinary high school language curriculum standards,clearly "book reading" as one of the language learning task group,aims to help students through reading the whole book,master the basic skills of reading,form good reading habits,find my own way of reading,thus promote reading appreciation ability,open field of vision.Since then,the country's high school teachers to seriously study the language core qualities,learning task group",as well as the whole book read" theory requires that some teachers at the theoretical guidance,try to read" the whole book" teaching practices.It can be seen that the education reform context,exploring how to make the whole book read " Teaching is valuable and meaningful.The thesis will be “Call to Arms”the whole book reading teaching as an example to talk about the high school novel “whole book reading” teaching strategy and practical research,divided into the following four chapters:The first chapter analyzes the high school fiction the whole book reading " teaching value.This chapter is divided into three sections: High school students read the whole book";the need for high school fiction the whole book to read."
