With the new requirements of education modernization for our country's education and the continuous advancement of a new round of high school geography teaching reform,current affairs news and geography teaching have become increasingly connected.At present,most teachers can recognize the importance of current affairs news in geography teaching,but in practical teaching,due to various factors,the value of current affairs news has not been fully realized.And the high school stage is also an important stage of geography learning,so it is of great significance to study the value realization of current affairs news in geography teaching in high school.This research is based on Marxist philosophy,cognitive discovery learning theory,etc.,and uses literature research and questionnaires to conduct research,analyze the current status of current affairs news in high school geography teaching and the existing problems,and propose improvement strategies based on the problem.This research is mainly divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly analyzes the background and significance of the current value of current affairs news in geography teaching in high school by consulting relevant literatures,combing the research progress at home and abroad,and determining the research methods based on the theory of cognitive discovery learning theory.The second part mainly discusses the connotation of current affairs news and the value of geography.First,the concepts of current affairs,news and current news are defined.Secondly,it summarizes that current affairs news has the characteristics of authenticity,timeliness and extensiveness.Finally,it expounds the value of current geography disciplines in five aspects: cultivating core geography literacy,enhancing students' initiative,promoting curriculum resource development,establishing harmonious teacher-student relations,and optimizing geography teaching activities.The third part analyzes the status quo of the realization of current affairs news in geography teaching in high school through questionnaire surveys of teachers and students,and then finds the main problems that currently exist: 1.The level of attention to the development of current news is low;2.The frequency of application of current news by teachers is relatively low and the form is relatively simple;3.The application of current news is not at its best.In the fourth part,based on the current situation analysis and existing problems of the value realization of current affairs news in high school geography teaching,the author puts forward three strategies to improve the value realization of current affairs news in geography teaching in high school,and designs teaching cases based on the strategy.First of all,in the development of curriculum resources,we must strengthen the consciousness of schools and teachers,improve the ability of curriculum development,integrate teaching materials,and establish a current affairs news library.Secondly,in terms of optimizing the teaching process,teachers can apply current affairs news to introduce new lessons,teach new lessons,do class summaries,conduct on-site inspections and arrange task links,complete different task requirements,and enrich the use of current affairs news.Finally,in the aspect of improving teaching evaluation,current affairs news can be used to design teaching activities based on academic level examinations and college entrance examination proposition trends,perform performance evaluations,integrate a series of news,and formulate comprehensive examination test questions.With these strategies,"Meteorological Disasters" in Chapter 6 of Compulsory Geography,a high school geography pedagogical version,is selected for the design of teaching cases.The fifth part explains the conclusions and shortcomings of this study,emphasizes once again the value of current affairs news in geography,the problems of realizing value in high school geography teaching,the strategies to improve its value,and points out the shortcomings of this research from both the subjective and objective aspects.
