With the development of the times and the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,history teaching should keep pace with the times.The application of international current affairs news close to the times in the teaching of world history meets the requirements of the new curriculum reform.It can improve the efficiency of students' classroom learning,and is of great significance for cultivating students' core quality of history discipline and fulfilling the fundamental task of cultivating people with virtue in history.However,the academic circles lacks specific research on the application of international current affairs news in world history teaching,and the application of international current affairs news lacks theoretical basis.Therefore,this paper takes this as a starting point for research,proposes strategies based on the existing problems in the application status,and provides specific guidance for the application of international current affairs news in world history teaching.Through questionnaire surveys and interviews,it can be found that applying international current affairs news to meet the common needs of teachers and students in high school world history teaching using The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(Part 2),and can solve the problems of boring knowledge and difficulty in understanding and recitation.However,there are many difficulties in the application of international current affairs news in world history teaching:first,students lack attention to international current affairs news;second,teachers' teaching methods are single,and students' initiative is ignored when applying international current affairs news,and student lack participation;third,teachers lack the experience and ability to select and integrate international current affairs news,and the application is random.It can be seen that the application of international current affairs news in the teaching of world history has failed to play its due role.In order to solve the problems in the application,the paper proposes specific application strategies for international current affairs news.Firstly,teachers should obtain international current affairs news through various channels such as the Internet,TV,broadcast,newspapers and periodicals,and explore ways for students to pay attention to international current affairs news;secondly,teachers should follow the principles of timeliness,humanity and relevance to screen the obtained international current affairs news;thirdly,teachers should use causality method and comparative analysis method to explore the connection between international current affairs news and world history knowledge,improve students' historical thinking ability,and through improving teaching methods and carrying out extra-curricular activities to improve students' participation and enhance students' initiative;finally,teachers should apply the international current affairs news in different teaching links to give full play to the different functions of the international current affairs news.In addition,the thesis combines the application strategies to carry on the teaching practice,further suggestions are made for the application of international current affairs news on the basis of summing up experience.The application of international current affairs news in the teaching of world history highlights the humanistic education function of history education,helps students correctly understand reality and trains modern talents with an international vision.However,if teachers want to give full play to the function of international current affairs news in the teaching of world history,they should continue to explore in teaching practice.
