At present,China is in a critical period of economic and social development,and the demand for various types of innovative talents is increasing in social development.Application-oriented undergraduate colleges,as the base for the diversified development of talents,have become the focus of social attention.However,the current scale of application-oriented talent cultivation is not compatible with its cultivation ability and social needs.It is urgent to innovate the talent cultivation mechanism and improve the quality of talent cultivation.Both the state and society have put forward new requirements for talent training in colleges and universities.At the national level,in recent years,a series of policy documents have been issued to support and guide the transformation and development of applied undergraduate colleges.At the social perspective,driven by innovation-driven demand,the demand for application-oriented talents at different levels in different social industries is not the same."Strengthening practical education" is the key for the application-oriented undergraduate colleges currently to improving the quality of undergraduate teaching,accelerating the development of teaching connotation,and realizing the connection between college education and local economic and social development.Sichuan University of Science & Engineering,the only comprehensive and applied undergraduate university in southern Sichuan,is selected as an empirical study in this study.Through the analysis of the status quo of the practice teaching system of this university,it finds that there are problems such as the lack of clear objectives in practical teaching,poor integration of practical teaching content,weak guarantee system of practical teaching conditions,and insufficient evaluation system of practical teaching quality.Based on the meaning of the broad practice teaching system,the author puts forward the optimization countermeasures around its practice teaching target system,content system,management system,condition guarantee system,quality evaluation system,etc.,in order to provide reference experience forthe reform of the practice teaching system of similar universities.
