In recent years,social work has developed vigorously in mainland China,and the number of certified social workers in the country has increased year by year.At the same time,the situation of college graduates majoring in social work engaged in social work is not optimistic,and social work talents are constantly losing.As an important talent reserve for the construction of social work talents,the freshmen majoring in social work can improve the current situation of brain drain of social work professionals to a certain extent by enhancing their professional identity.This study is supported by group motivation theory and humanism theory,and mainly uses interview method and participatory observation method to summarize and summarize the current situation and causes of social work students' professional identity.At the same time,through the development of creative drama groups,the low professional identity of social work students will be improved.Through research,it is found that creative drama groups can improve students' interest in professional learning,enhance students' professional cognition and eliminate students' professional negative emotions to a certain extent,thus improving students' low professional identity.At the same time,the effect of the creative drama group depends on the improvisation ability of the group members.In the group process,the improvisationability of the group members needs to be improved through the creation of a safe group atmosphere,active encouragement and support,etc.
