"General High School Geography Curriculum Standards"(2017 edition)proposes four core qualities of the geography discipline,including the concept of human-land coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition,and geographic practicality.As one of the core qualities of "geographical practical ability",cultivating geographical practicality helps to enhance human's ability to act and act,and geographical practicality needs to be cultivated through geographical practical activities.In order to implement the curriculum requirements and cultivate the high school students' geographic practical ability,this study uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis to study the current situation of high school geographic practical ability training,the design and practice of geographic practical activity cases and the promotion strategy of geographic practical ability in Guiyang city.The main conclusions are as follows:First,there are some problems in the geography textbook of senior high school,such as the single type of practical activities,the lack of regional characteristics of cases,and the low operability.Through sorting out the geography textbooks of senior high school published by human education,we can see that there are 39,37 and 26 activity plates of geography 1,2 and 3,respectively,with 102 in total,of which the activity types of graphic analysis account for the majority(16 in total),while the less are geographic drawing(3,3%)and production(1,1%).Secondly,through the investigation of the current situation of the cultivation of high school geography practical ability in Guiyang city and the implementation and evaluation analysis of the activity cases,it shows that:(1)teachers' organizational ability and understanding of practical activities need to be improved(65.79% of teachers have little knowledge of geography practical activities,67.11% of teachers occasionally use textbooks to carry out practical activities);(2)students tend to participate in hands-on activities(55.67%)Students are very interested in operational activities,28.89% of them are interested in them;(3)students have low participation rate and low cognitive level(62.22% of them have not participated in geographical practice activities);(4)students' safety and activity funds are the main challenges to carry out geographical practice activities(especially activities outside the school).Thirdly,in view of the problems found in the investigation of the current situation of the cultivation of geographical practical ability,based on the modern geographic information technology and platform,the following activities are designed to help improve the students' geographical practical ability:(1)the monitoring of the catchment area of Hongfenghu reservoir in Guiyang Based on Geographic information technology;(2)the big data production of Guizhou Province Based on map Third,the paper writing activity of "Analysis on the development mode of Laoganma pepper processing industry".Through the implementation of the practical activities designed by the way of network teaching,the evaluation shows that it is feasible to organize and implement the geographic practical activities based on geographic information technology and guide the students to operate remotely and observe learning activities.From the results of activity evaluation,the students can complete the objectives and requirements of the activities,and each learning group has a reasonable division of labor At the same time,it is found that students have some problems,such as poor ability to solve problems independently,weak foundation of computer and network information technology(Geographic Information Technology).Fourth,according to the investigation and analysis of training status,the analysis of curriculum standard and teaching materials,as well as the design and implementation evaluation results of typical activity cases,the paper puts forward the following ways and strategies to improve the cultivation of Geographical Practice Ability:(1)Guide students to use common geographic information tools or platforms;(2)Encourage students to design classroom practice activities;(3)Strengthen the practical teaching ability training of high school geography teachers;(4)Strengthen The use of map in teaching;(5)Strengthen the construction of geography practical activity curriculum;(6)Open the practice place in school;(7)Build the practice base and carry out the practice activities outside school;(8)Strengthen the organization and carry out the practice activities with regional characteristics.At present,the development of high school geography practical activity curriculum is influenced by many factors,such as examination oriented education and teaching conditions,and there are many challenges to cultivate the core quality of "geography practical ability".Based on the analysis of the current situation,curriculum standard and teaching materials of geography practice in senior high school,combined with the actual situation of students,teachers and schools,this paper designs reasonable,safe and operable geography practice activities,formulates effective organization and evaluation methods,explores the ways and strategies to improve the cultivation of Geography practice,carries out practical teaching for geography teachers,improves students' geography practice and cultivates geography core Heart accomplishment of great significance.
