Wen Rumin is a famous contemporary literary historian and educator.Since he devoted himself to Chinese education,Wen Rumin has always emphasized the importance of reading instruction in Chinese education.His theory on reading instruction enriches the theoretical achievements of reading instruction in China,and provides a powerful reference and guidance for schools to effectively implement reading instruction and effectively improve students' reading level and ability.This paper adopts the method of literature research and content analysis to collect and sort out the literature related to Wen Rumin,systematically sorts out Wen Rumin's view of reading instruction,and analyzes its enlightenment to contemporary Chinese reading instruction in primary and secondary schools.This paper first introduces Wen Rumin's learning,teaching and practice experience,and analyzes the forming factors of Wen Rumin's view of reading instruction.Secondly,it expounds the core concept of Wen Rumin's view of reading instruction,and clarifies the relationship between Chinese and reading,reading and reading interest,and between Chinese teachers and reading instruction.Again,it systematically sorts out the content system of Wen Rumin's view of reading instruction,including the basic purpose,content,method and evaluation of reading teaching.In the aspect of the basic purpose of reading instruction,it is discussed from the perspectives of "cultivating ability" and "cultivating character".In terms of the basic content of reading instruction,this paper expounds his views on the reading content and teaching content of reading instruction.In the aspect of the basic method of reading instruction,this paper analyzes the graded reading instruction method and the "Three parts as a whole" reading instruction system proposed by him.In the aspect of reading evaluation,it is discussed from the perspective of evaluation dimension and evaluation mode.Finally,based on the basic purpose,content,method and reading evaluation of Wen Rumin's view of reading instruction,this paper analyzes its enlightenment to contemporary reading instruction in primary andsecondary schools.With the unified compilation of Chinese textbooks by the ministry of education being used nationwide,Wen Rumin,as the chief editor of the teaching materials,has an important guiding significance for the reading instruction in primary and secondary schools which mainly rely on "unified edition" Chinese teaching materials.In the aspect of reading instruction purpose,the contemporary reading instruction should set up the teaching purpose view of "achievement" and "development".In terms of reading instruction content,contemporary reading instruction should balance the status of reading in and out of class,and implement the teaching of reading methods.In terms of reading instruction methods,contemporary reading instruction should give full play to the role of the " Three parts as a whole" teaching system,and build a bridge between in class reading and extracurricular reading with Chinese textbooks as the carrier.In the aspect of reading instruction evaluation,the contemporary reading instruction should strengthen the awareness of reading evaluation and build a mature reading evaluation system.
