Wen Rumin is a famous contemporary literary historian and educator.He has been studying and working at Peking University for more than 30 years.Deeply affected by the spirit of the May 4th Movement and Peking University tradition,he believed that since intellectuals benefit from society,they should do some practical things for social construction.For more than ten years,he has devoted a lot of energy to the study of Chinese education in addition to the research in the history of modern Chinese literature.His original intention was to "beat the drum" for the reform of the Chinese curriculum,calling on more experts to pay attention to Chinese education,however,he finally "indulged in" Chinese education research.In 2004,Wen Rumin founded the Institute of Chinese Education of Peking University in an effort to change the low-level research status of Chinese education.Since then,he has also served as the convener of the expert group for the revision of the Chinese curriculum standards for compulsory education,the chief expert of the Chinese discipline of the "National Training Program" of Peking University,and the editor-inchief of the Chinese textbooks of elementary and secondary schools,trying to promote the reform of Chinese education with practical actions.Although Wen Rumin is not a first-line Chinese teacher,he participated in the Chinese curriculum reform in an all-round and in-depth way,presided over the preparation of Chinese textbooks,trained Chinese teachers in elementary and secondary schools,and made outstanding contributions to the development of contemporary Chinese education.This article has conducted a systematic study of Wen Rumin's Chinese education thought,which is divided into six parts in total.The introduction mainly introduces the research origin,research methods and research significance of this article,and summarizes the previous research results.The first part discusses Wen Rumin's Chinese curriculum thinking.Wen Rumin believes that the core of the Chinese course is "mother tongue learning".The basic goal of the Chinese course is to train students to master the language of the motherland so that Chinese citizens who have received basic education have basic language skills.But this does not mean that the task of the Chinese class is just to train the students' ability of "listening,speaking,reading and writing".On the contrary,the task of the Chinese class is multiple,and its purpose is to enable the students' thinking,aesthetics,culture,etc.Improved.The most important of these is to cultivate students' "moral goodness" in the teaching of language and writing so that they consciously pursue those "noble" things in human nature,thereby becoming a modern citizen with Chinese literacy and noble personality.The second part discusses Wen Rumin's thoughts on textbook compilation.Wen Rumin advocated that the compilation of textbooks should implement the principle of "conservative innovation".In the selection criteria,he emphasized that the classics must be placed first,at the same time,the age characteristics and acceptance of students should be fully considered,and the appropriateness of teaching should be emphasized.In terms of content design,Wen Rumin believes that textbooks should have a clear knowledge system and teaching gradients in order to ensure that Chinese teaching follows the rules.However,the presentation of knowledge points and ability points should be invisible and organically penetrated into modules such as reading,writing,oral communication,and comprehensive learning.As a "clear line" of humanities education,it should be throughout the Chinese textbooks.In addition,Wen Rumin proposed that Chinese textbooks should build a three-in-one reading system of "teaching and reading-self-readingextracurricular reading" to extend reading in and out of class,and cultivate students' reading habits in order to fundamentally improve students' core literacy in Chinese.The third part discusses Wen Rumin's reading teaching thought.Reading is the core of Wen Rumin's Chinese education thought.Wen Rumin believes that reading teaching should proceed from three aspects.First of all,teachers and parents should let their students read "free books" so that students can enjoy the interest of reading in free reading.In this process,teachers and parents should guide students appropriately and encourage students to read more classics to enhance the reading taste and thinking level.Secondly,teachers should adopt the "1+X" reading teaching model,combining in-class reading with out-of-class reading to guide students to expand their reading in a direction.At the same time,teachers should also pay attention to the teaching of reading methods,encourage students to read books "rolling and crawling",and improve reading efficiency.Finally,Chinese teachers should also read more,set an excellent example for students,drive students to actively read,and then change the reading atmosphere of the entire society.The fourth part discusses Wen Rumin's composition teaching thought.Wen Rumin believes that there are two kinds of biases in the current composition teaching.One is to pay too much attention to "writing",and the other is to pay too much attention to imitative writing teaching.To solve these two problems,we should start from the "source".First of all,teachers should guide students to read extensively,so that students have a desire to speak,so as to stimulate students' interest in writing.Secondly,students should increase the amount of information through reading,and deepen the reading effect through writing,so that reading and writing can promote each other,forming a virtuous circle.Finally,composition teaching should move closer to the direction of "intelligence" and focus on cultivating students' rational thinking ability and basic expression ability in order to fundamentally change the bad atmosphere of "emphasis on literary skill and routine".The conclusion summarizes Wen Rumin's Chinese education thought,and points out its advantages and disadvantages.
