Digital citizenship was born as traditional citizenship began to change as digital technology merged with the real world.Digital citizens not only need to abide by the norms of the digital world,but also need to learn to use digital technology to develop themselves and adapt to the rapidly developing world.In order to cultivate qualified digital citizens,countries and organizations around the world have formulated corresponding standards and evaluation frameworks.China's development of students' core literacy and the construction of digital China can not be separated from the training of qualified digital citizens,so it is an important issue to carry out the research on the evaluation of middle school students' digital citizenship level.Firstly,this research makes a comprehensive and systematic review of the main viewpoints of digital citizenship,the practice of digital citizenship education and the evaluation research of digital citizenship,clarifies the connotation of digital citizenship,the specific content of digital citizenship and the methods and ideas of constructing the evaluation model.It can be found that the essence of digital civic literacy is the unity of individual,technology and society,that is,how to deal with the relationship among individual development,technology use and social development.Therefore,this study defines middle school students' digital citizenship as: the collection of students' ability to use technology rationally to promote individual development and social development.On this basis,in order to determine digital citizenship assessment indicators for middle school students,this research framework of related digital citizenship standards at home and abroad are analyzed,and combining with the consulting experts,identifies three level index of the digital citizenship for middle school students and 7 secondary indexes,preliminarily constructed the theoretical model of middle school students' digital citizenship.Then,according to the theoretical model,a questionnaire survey was made to a number of representative schools in H City,Hubei Province,including urban areas,subordinate counties and rural areas.The results of data analysis show that the preset model is well fitted to the sample data,and there is a close relationship between the three first-level indicators and the seven second-level indicators,and their mutual influence reaches a significant level.Based on the experience of evaluation model construction in the field of education,an evaluation model of middle school students' digital citizenship level was determined by comprehensive factor analysis and expert consultation:Y=0.36A+0.30B+0.34 C,where Y stands for "digital citizenship of middle school students",A stands for "Digital survival",B stands for "Digital development",and C stands for "Digital protection".The actual data of H city is used to evaluate the digital citizenship level of middle school students to test the appropriateness of the model.The research finds the following conclusions :(1)Generally,the overall level of digital civic literacy of middle school students in the sample is relatively high.There is no significant gender difference in the digital citizenship of middle school students.With the increase of age,the level of digital citizenship of middle school students shows an upward trend.(2)The digital citizenship level of middle school students in urban areas is higher than that of students in towns and rural areas.There are significant differences between rural students and urban and urban students.(3)Middle school students do well in digital survival and protection,but lack in digital development.Therefore,education on digital development should be continuously strengthened.(4)Parents' educational background has a significant impact on the level of digital citizenship of middle school students.The higher the educational background of parents is,the higher the level of digital citizenship is.
