Affected by Korean native culture,Korean modern education still retains a large number of single-sex teaching environments.The volunteer teachers sent by Hanban to South Korea are mostly unfamiliar with this single-sex education.They have successfully developed Chinese for volunteer teachers overseas Teaching brings certain challenges.The author has one year of Chinese teaching experience in South Korea,so I selected Korean high school Chinese teachers' classroom discourse in a single-sex teaching environment as the research object to observe Chinese classrooms in different single-sex teaching environments.This research starts with two important aspects of the Chinese language classroom—teacher input and teacher-student interaction.By collecting real classroom recordings and establishing a first-hand corpus,it investigates and analyzes Korean high school Chinese teachers' classroom discourse.Through the analysis of the corpus,it is found that the Chinese classrooms of boys' high schools and girls' high schools have different characteristics in the use of target language and medium language,topic use,sentence use,teacher and student speech volume,teacher's questioning and feedback.This paper carries on the research through six parts.The first part is the introduction,which involves the reason of the topic selection,the research review,the research content and method,and the corpus description.The second part introduces the current Korean high school teaching system and the development of Chinese teaching;explains the classification of Korean high schools and the proportion of single-sex schools,and introduces the current Korean Chinese teaching policy and teaching development in detail.Introduction of the development and volunteer teachers' appointment.The third part compares the classroom discourse from the input characteristics of the teacher;analyzes the classroom discourse of the teacher in the single-sex teaching environment from three aspects: the proportion of target language and medium language use,the use of topics and the use of sentences.The fourth part is a comparative analysis of classroom discourse from the characteristics of teacher-student interaction;comparative analysis is carried out from the perspectives of teacher-student discourse ratio,questioning mode,and feedback mode.Through these analyses,we can not only understand the style of Chinese teaching in South Korea,but also discover the characteristics of Chinese teaching in the single-sex education environment.The fifth part puts forward reasonable and feasible suggestions for volunteer teachers according to the research results.The sixth part is the conclusion.
