Emile Durkheim lived in the most turbulent and uneasy crisis in France.He was keenly aware of the "moral vacuum" caused by the drastic changes in society,paid full attention to social morality and social order,and advocated that moral education is a cure for society.The cure for morbidity is intended to solve social problems by reorganizing moral education to achieve the purpose of maintaining social order and promoting social unity.The cultivation of discipline spirit is the main content of Durkheim's moral education.An in-depth analysis of Durkheim's concept of discipline spirit and serious exploration of its contemporary value in school discipline spirit education has important theoretical value and practical significance for improving the current school discipline education practice.Durkheim's so-called "spirit of discipline" is the product of the combined effect of the French social environment and personal academic interests,and is a unity composed of two aspects: preference for conventions and obedience to authority.Discipline spirit is not only a social fact,but also a moral existence full of goodness and satisfying the needs of human nature.Discipline spirit can not only help people form reflective personal will,achieve personal happiness and moral health,and promote individual socialization,it can also guide people to respect universal social norms,actively maintain social order,and promote social unity.The moral priority of education and teachers determines the important position and role of schools and teachers in the cultivation of students' discipline and spirit.Schools and teachers should use appropriate methods to carry out discipline and spiritual education based on understanding the characteristics of students' physical and mental development.However,school discipline and spiritual education has not yet achieved the desired results,showing a number of undesirable "symptoms",such as the absence of discipline and spiritual education in school education,frequent failures of school discipline and spiritual education,and the effectiveness of discipline and spiritual education needs to be further improved.Using Durkheim's concept of discipline and spirit to conduct pathological analysis of the various symptoms of the above-mentioned school discipline and spiritual education,it is not difficult to find that the main reasons leading to the "morbidity" of school discipline and spiritual education include:School discipline and spiritual education is constrained by traditional discipline concepts,there is a serious imbalance between teachers' professional habits and professional ethical norms,and the insufficient presence of students' social awareness.As far as school education is concerned,effective diagnosis and treatment of illnesses in disciplinary and spiritual education to help students develop an independent and sound discipline spirit can start from the following aspects:First,actively advocate the developmental concept of discipline,and further update the concept of discipline spiritual education;second,establish the personal authority of teachers in line with professional ethics,and maintain the moral priority of teachers;finally,strive to create a comprehensive school discipline spiritual education situation to strengthen students.
