As one of the three legendary books in ancient China,the mythological images in The Classic of Mountains and Seas are visual symbols with cultural and folk characteristics.They are created by ancient people combining the reality and their own fantasy of gods and monsters with artistic techniques such as alienation,exaggeration or replacement,and have great aesthetic implication.Primary school students have a strong interest in the fantastic mythical stories and gods and monsters in "The Book of Mountains and Seas",but nowadays there is a lack of art courses in primary schools with "The Book of Mountains and Seas" as the theme.Therefore,how to better integrate the mythical image of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" into the art curriculum of primary schools is a problem worth exploring.In the new era,the fine arts curriculum bears the special mission of inheriting excellent traditional culture and combining with modern art forms.It is not easy for children to accept the obscure ancient books of the Classic of Mountains and Seas directly into the art classes of primary schools.Picture books with a wide audience and strong affinity can be used as the carrier to express the story more intuitively,tell the Chinese classics to children and show Chinese wisdom,so as to spread Chinese culture.The integration of the picture book of the mythological images of the Classic of Mountains and Seas into the art curriculum of primary schools not only meets the strong interests and needs of children,but also can effectively cultivate their rich imagination and stimulate their love for traditional Chinese culture.The body of the paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter one: The general situation of the development of integrating the mythical images of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" into picture books is described.Based on the questionnaire survey of students and the interview survey of teachers,the current status of the development of picture books in primary schools is explored and its deficiencies are analyzed.Chapter two: put forward the compatibility between the picture book of mythical images of the Classic of Mountains and Seas and the art education of primary schools,and discussed the educational value of this course,aiming to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating the picture book of mythical images of the Classic of Mountains and Seas into the art curriculum of primary schools.Chapter three: Based on children's nature and aesthetic psychology,it explains the principles that should be followed in the selection or creation of children's picture books.The inheritance of fine traditional culture of aesthetic education is set as the pursuit of exploration.The paper proposes to transform the picture book of mythical images of the Classic of Mountains and Seas into the curriculum resources of primary school art,and constructs two curriculum modes: scene appreciation and theme creation.Chapter four: With the created picture book "Anecdotes of Shanyang" and the selected picture book "Birds Song of the Phoenix" as the course resources,two kinds of picture book courses of scene appreciation and theme creation are developed and practiced in the art teaching of primary schools.Chapter fifth: expounds the effectiveness and problems of the two models,and puts forward the future prospect of the development of the mythological image picture book course of the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
