With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the construction and cultivation of the core literacy of geography has been put forward.which requires in the process of geography learning paying attention to the cultivation of the geographical core literacy,including concept of man-land coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographic practice.As an important part of the core literacy of geography,comprehensive thinking is comprehensive,systematic and dynamic.It plays an important role in building a comprehensive geographic knowledge network for students and improving their key ability to solve geographical problems systematically.As an important tool for geography teaching and a link between teachers and students,geography textbooks are valuable in the cultivation of comprehensive thinking.Therefore,taking the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ? as an example,this study systematically analyzes the embodiment of comprehensive thinking in the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ?,and investigates the characteristics,training status and existing problems of geographical comprehensive thinking in the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ? with the methods of questionnaire survey and in-depth interview.Based on the above analysis,this study puts forward the training strategy of geographical comprehensive thinking with the use of teaching materials and designs teaching cases in order to provide reference for the cultivation of students' geographical comprehensive thinking.The conclusions are as follows:First of all,the content analysis method is used to explore the contents that can cultivate students' geographical comprehensive thinking in the compulsory senior geography ? textbook of the People's Education Edition.In this study,the text system,image system and activity system are used to analyze the presentation characteristics of geographical comprehensive thinking.The results show that the arrangement of textbooks conforms to the students' cognitive law,which is conducive to the cultivation of geographical comprehensive thinking;the textbook has strong inspiration with the combination of pictures and texts complement each other.Meanwhile,the chapters of compulsory senior geography ? textbook of the People's Education Edition are relatively independent,which can easily lead to fragmentation of knowledge and need to emphasize the construction of knowledge system in the teaching process.Secondly,the methods of questionnaire survey and in-depth interview are used to investigate training status and existing problems of geographical comprehensive thinking in the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ?.The results show that students love geography courses in a higher degree,who affirm the presentation of geographical comprehensive thinking in the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ?,while the level of students' geographical comprehensive thinking needs to be improved;the surface system of the textbook is complementary,and the multi-dimensional geographical comprehensive thinking is integrated;the textbook structure is rigorous,but the integration of natural geographic elements is low;teacher's teaching tools don't match the students' expectations.Moreover,the degree of development and utilization of teaching materials is insufficient,and the teaching process lacks the creation of problem situations to a certain extent.Finally,this study puts forward the training strategies of geographical comprehensive thinking based on the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ? textbook.In the future,we should integrate textbook knowledge comprehensively and strengthen the internal connection of knowledge;strengthen the teaching of picture-text conversion and use the surface system of teaching materials skillfully;combine dynamics and statics to enhance students' geographical comprehensive thinking ability in time and space;enrich textbook cases to enhance students' geographical comprehensive thinking ability;create teaching situations to penetrate geographical comprehensive thinking;innovate teaching methods to deepen classroom understanding.This study selects the first lesson of the PEP version of Geography Compulsory ? "Meteorological Disaster" for teaching design to verify the effectiveness of the training strategy of geographical comprehensive thinking based on the the use of textbook,which will provide reference for frontline teachers in the training of geographical comprehensive thinking.
