Current affairs hot materials reflect the hot events at home and abroad,with the characteristics of the times and regions,and are closely related to the geography teaching content.The application of current affairs hot materials in geography teaching can not only implement the concept of the new curriculum reform,improve our classroom efficiency,but also promote the all-round development of students and the professional development of teachers.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,higher requirements are put forward for geography learning.The introduction of current events into geography teaching is conducive to the cultivation of students' thinking ability and core literacy.This paper uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and case analysis.Based on the relevant theories of pedagogy and psychology,by setting up questionnaires for students and teachers,combined with relevant teaching practice,it is found that the application of current affairs hot spots in high school geography teaching is conducive to the improvement of students' comprehensive ability and the development of teachers' professional quality,which is in line with the teaching demands of front-line teachers.However,there are still many problems,such as students' difficulty in connecting hot issues with teaching materials,restrictive conditions for teachers to develop and apply hot issues of current affairs,and lack of sublimation of emotional attitude and values.In view of the existing problems,this paper analyzes the necessity of the application of current affairs hot spots in the teaching of human geography,puts forward the principles and Strategies of application,and puts forward relevant implementation suggestions for various application ways in teaching.On this basis,a complete teaching design is made for the application of current affairs hot spots in high school human geography teaching.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions to optimize the combination of current affairs hot spots and high school human geography teaching,and strive to provide better ideas for geography teachers to apply current affairs hot spot teaching.As a "living textbook" of geography teaching,the current events hot spot can make the study of geography course more colorful,and it is conducive to promote the development of high school geography teachers' professional ability and the progress of students' comprehensive thinking,so as to make the geography classroom achieve better results.Through a series of studies,this paper tries to contribute a part of the current affairs hot spot to the application of geography teaching,so that the current affairs hot spot can play a greater role and value in the teaching process.
