A Hierarchical Linear Model Study Of Marital Stability In China

The stability of the marriage relationship is not only related to the healthy development of individuals and family harmony,but also to the stability and sustainable development of the economy and society.In the context of profound social changes and rapid economic development,marital problems have become a major social issue that cannot be ignored.Scholars need to conduct further research and analysis on it.This article believes that the real indicator that can measure the stability of marriage is marriage quality.The key influencing factor of marriage quality is marriage satisfaction.Therefore,it can start from the marriage satisfaction that reflects the subjective attitudes to the current marriage,based on CFPS2014 data and supplemented by CFPS2010,CFPS2011 and CFPS2012 data,choose the Hierarchical Linear Model to study marital stability from both the individual and community levels,and strive to dig out more useful information from the research data,explore various influencing factors of marital stability,and make some practical suggestions accordingly.The study found that the interviewees' marital stability is generally stable.Individual factors and community characteristics have a significant impact on marital stability.At the same time,there is a cross-layer adjustment effect between some community characteristics and individual factors.Trust in parents,the degree of restraint by traditional concepts,the degree of recognition that men share housework,the number of dinners with family members per week,and education respectively have a stable effect on the marriage relationship.The tendency to make friends online and age respectively make marriage more fragile.The stability of men's marriage is 0.197 units higher than that of women.The economic status of the community increases the stability of marriage,the number of kindergartens in the community and the number of temples/ Taoist temples in the community respectively have a negative effect on the stability of marriage.The marriage stability of interviewees in northeast is 0.125 units higher than that in other regions.The number of temples/ Taoist temples owned by the community respectively has a moderating effect on the effect of trust in parents and the effect of the number of dinners with family members each week.Number of family ancestral halls in the community has a moderating effect on the effect of the degree of restraint by traditional concepts,and the western region has a moderating effect on the influence of age.
