The 21st century needs innovative talents.As a way of cultivating talents,education needs to keep up with the development of the times and cultivate students' "21st century skills and Competencies".Therefore,cultivating students' 21st century "Core Competencies" has become an important purpose of the new round of curriculum reform.The cultivation of core competencies needs to change the past teaching method of emphasizing results over process and knowledge over ability,so large unit teaching emerges as the times require.At present,middle school geography teaching takes class hour as the basic unit,and the relationship between teaching contents is not close.It is difficult for students to use what they have learned to solve real problems.Therefore,the orientation of the literacy-based curriculum forces the reform of the teaching mode,and the core competencies of the subject requires large unit teaching.The design of teaching objectives is an extremely important part of the teaching process.The quality of teaching objectives is closely related to the teaching quality of teachers,students'learning effects,and the evaluation of teaching results.At present,in high school geography teaching,there are frequent phenomena such as no goals and useless goals.Teachers have doubts about how to design geography teaching objectives.In view of this,this article attempts to start from the teaching objectives,based on the cultivation of core competencies of geography,to explore the design method of large unit teaching objectives.This article specifically includes the following six parts:The first part:Introduction.It mainly elaborates the research background and significance of this article,using core competencies,large units,and teaching objectives as keywords to sort out the current research status at home and abroad,and lay the foundation for the subsequent writing;and clarify research objectives,research content,research methods and technical routes.The second part:Concept definition and theoretical basis.Firstly,define the core concepts of this article:the core competencies of geography,the large unit of geography and the teaching objectives of the large unit of geography,focusing on clarifying the meaning of the large unit of geography and the teaching objectives of the large unit of geography.Secondly,it briefly introduces the theoretical basis of this article and its guiding significance.The third part:Analyze the current situation of the design of high school geography teaching objectives.Firstly,take the teaching objectives designed by first-line geography teachers and the teaching objectives published in journals as research samples,analyze the current situation of geography teaching objectives design,and conduct interviews with first-line geography teachers according to the research content.Secondly,summarize the problems existing in current geography teaching objectives.The main problems are:a large number of objectives,empty behavior verbs,vague pre-qualification,fragmented teaching context,few unit objectives,etc..Again,attribution to the teaching objective problem.Finally,based on the above analysis,it is proposed that a large unit of geography teaching objective should be established.The fourth part:Put forward the principles and processes of the design of teaching objectives for large units of geography.Firstly,with the goal of training the core competencies of geography,summarize the principles of teaching target design:systemicity and orientation,contextuality and problematicness,generativeness and visibility.Secondly,summarize the design process of large-unit geographic teaching objectives,including determining scope,analysis Curriculum standards,integration of teaching materials,analysis of academic conditions,formation of situations,preparation of problems,and design goals.The fifth part:According to the above design process,try to design the teaching objectives of the large unit of geography.According to the classification of large geographical units in this article,the teaching objectives of the knowledge unit and the learning unit are designed respectively.The knowledge unit takes the chapter of Geography 1 "Water on the Earth" as an example,takes the development of the Bohai Rim region as the context,and designs the teaching objectives of the large unit of geography in seven links.The learning unit takes the review lesson"Development of the Ruhr Area in Germany" as an example,from the development of the Ruhr area to the recession and then revitalization,the teaching objectives of the large unit of geography are designed in seven steps.The sixth part:Conclusions and prospects.It mainly elaborates the research conclusions,analysis deficiencies and prospects of this article.
