In recent years,with the gradual deepening of curriculum reform,the academic circle of basic education has put forward the new concept of "discipline core literacy",and the society has a new expectation for talent cultivation in the new era.The "discipline core literacy" is the core quality of the moral and intellectual.It is the key ability,basic character and correct values that students should form after completing the subject courses.The core quality of Chinese is the ability and quality of students to cultivate and improve through the study of Chinese subject.Chinese course should become a process of students' self-development through Chinese learning,which lays a solid foundation for individual's future development.In response to the call of curriculum reform,schools in various regions carry out teaching reform according to their own situation,trying to explore the effective core literacy training strategy.Small class teaching is still a relatively small research direction in China.On the basis of small class teaching,cultivating students' high-level thinking ability with critical thinking as the core not only conforms to the concept requirements of the new curriculum standards,but also realizes the overall development of students from two aspects of intellectual education and moral education.Under the background that small class teaching has become a normal teaching organization form,through the teaching of critical reading,this paper discusses the teaching practice strategies of cultivating and Improving Junior High School Students' critical thinking ability,supplemented by lesson examples.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,the research status of small class teaching and critical reading at home and abroad,and the innovation of this paper.The second part is the concept definition and theoretical basis,mainly defines the concept of small class teaching,critical thinking teaching,junior high school Chinese small class thinking class.The research object,research method and theoretical basis are clarified.The third part is the analysis of the current situation and causes of junior high school Chinese teaching.Through going deep into the front line of junior middle school Chinese class,observing the lesson,conducting questionnaire survey and interview with teachers and students.The author points out the deficiency of thinking training in junior middle school Chinese class from the aspects of teaching links,students' activities,after-school exercises and students' recognition of classroom thinking training,and analyzes the reasons.The fourth part is the teaching practice of thinking class in Junior Middle School of Foreign Language School Attached to Guangxi Normal University.This part introduces the class division strategy and classroom characteristics,then explores,constructs and studies the general teaching organization form and specific teaching and assignment strategies of small class thinking class.According to the deficiencies in the practice,the improvement strategies are put forward.The fifth part is the summary,including the conclusion,innovation and deficiency of this paper.It has been proved by practice that small class teaching is a powerful guarantee to carry out critical reading teaching,and critical reading teaching is an important way to achieve remarkable results in small class.Thinking teaching based on small class improves students' critical thinking ability such as questioning,analyzing,judging,integrating and evaluating.It also cultivates students' tolerance to different views,pursuit of seeking truth from facts and courage to face mistakes.
