Chemistry is a very practical basic natural science,which is inseparable from people's daily life.Chemical knowledge is widely used in various fields such as medicine,industry,agriculture,military,energy,and information technology.Learning chemistry well can not only lay a solid foundation for future scientific and technological research,but also solve chemistry problems in daily life.With the advancement of classroom teaching reform,specific requirements for the creation of a reasonable and effective teaching situation in the classroom are made in the recommendations for the implementation of the chemistry curriculum standard,and new requirements are put forward for optimizing the classroom and improving classroom effectiveness.How to reasonably and effectively use contextual materials for classroom teaching has become a research topic favored by the majority of teachers'.The purpose of this project is to create a teaching situation with materials familiar to students.The questionnaire survey method is used to investigate the current situation of the school's nine grade chemistry classroom situation creation and implementation.The survey results are analyzed and combined with the current teaching problems facing the implementation of the creation situation teaching.On this basis,four strategies for creating situations are proposed:(1)creating situations with things around students;(2)creating situations from chemistry experiments;(3)creating situations with multimedia-assisted teaching;(4)creating situations with news hot events.Combining the scenario creation strategy,three teaching cases are designed,including the research of molecules and atoms,water purification,and carbon dioxide production.Selected 91 students from two classes in Grade 9 of Maoshan Middle School as the research objects,divided into experimental classes and parallel classes,and conducted a one-semester teaching practice research.Three questionnaire surveys and paper-and-pencil tests were carried out,and the teaching effect of each stage was compared and analyzed.Studies have shown that combining students' academic conditions and the characteristics of the content of the textbooks,using familiar contextual materials around the students into chemistry classroom teaching can maximize students' interest in learning chemistry,change students' positive attitudes towards learning chemistry,and effectively improved the students' achievement.
