With the deepening of curriculum reform,more and more educators begin to pay attention to the development and utilization of off-campus resources,among which the natural museum provides an effective educational resource support for the implementation of biology curriculum with its rich resources.The application of natural history museum resources in biology teaching in senior high school can broaden the way to acquire biological knowledge,develop students’ abilities in many aspects,and promote students’ core biological literacy.Therefore,on the basis of constructivism education theory,inquisitive learning theory,situational learning theory and naturalistic education theory,This paper mainly uses literature research,investigation,field study and case analysis to study the development and utilization of natural history museum resources in biology teaching in high school.Through literature collation and analysis,it is found that the exploitation and utilization of natural history museum resources in high school biology teaching has become a hot research.Therefore,we should attach importance to the resource mining of natural history museum.However,how to better apply natural history museum resources to biology teaching in high school needs further research and discussion.Through the field investigation of the resources of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History,it is found that the museum is rich in biological resources,including plants,animals,paleontology and geological minerals,among which animal and plant specimens and biological fossils are very good available resources for biology teaching.The types of biology science popularization activities are also diverse,including biology science class,biology theme science popularization,biology science contest,biology science sending to campus and online media platform biology science popularization.Through investigation method,this paper understands the problems faced by the development and utilization of natural history museum resources in the current high school curriculum,including students’ learning interest in biology,the utilization status of natural history museum resources in the high school biology curriculum,the utilization value of natural history museum resources in the high school biology curriculum and the difficulties encountered in the learning process,etc.The survey results show that the problems include:(1)students have a high interest in biology,but the way to acquire knowledge is simple;(2)The utilization rate of biology-related resources in natural history museum is low,but students’ willingness to participate is high;(3)Lack of connection with curriculum standards and teaching practice when using natural history museum resources.In view of the existing problems,three solutions are put forward:(1)adopt the mode of combining online and offline to popularize biological knowledge,break the restrictions of time and site;(2)Deeply excavate the biology-related resources in the natural history Museum,and put forward the principles and steps of development and utilization;(3)We should strengthen the connection between natural history museum resources and senior high school biology knowledge,and give full consideration to the actual needs of students.Based on the case study,this paper studies the biological science popularization programs of three famous domestic natural history museums,sorts out and analyzes the content,activity mode and characteristics of the development and utilization of their curriculum resources,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The biological science popularization activities are rich in forms,which conform to the law of students’ physical and mental development and the logical sequence of subject knowledge;(2)The teaching process pays attention to students’ subjectivity and the generation of important concepts.Based on theoretical basis and case analysis results,this paper optimizes and adjusts the principles and steps of the development and utilization of biology curriculum resources in Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History,carries out statistics,analysis and screening of middle and high school biology curriculum resources in Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History,and designs three teaching cases based on the curriculum standards of high school biology and students’ actual situation.It includes a classroom case "The cell is the Basic unit of life activity",and two pavilion cases "Evidence of Common Ancestor of living Organisms" and "Major Types of Community".To sum up:(1)Inner Mongolia Natural History Museum is rich in resources,which is conducive to the implementation of biology courses in high school.(2)The biology curriculum resources of middle and high schools in Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History need to be further explored.(3)The application of Inner Mongolia Natural History Museum resources in high school biology teaching requires the joint efforts of venues,schools and teachers.The development and utilization of natural history museum resources will provide a favorable supplement to the biology course of senior high school,which will help the integration and development of school education resources and social education resources.
