With the rapid development of science and technology and the economy,the times and society have put forward higher requirements for human development,and education has been reformed along with the development of the times.With the penetration of the concept of lifelong learning,the development of students' core literacy,the implementation of the new round of college entrance examination reform,the emergence of "barriers" in education and teaching,and the urgent need for school transformation,students' learning power is bred in such an environment.Therefore,this paper studies the current situation,problems and causes of the learning power of general high school students and the strategies to improve it,so as to solve the outstanding problems of students' adaptation to the new college entrance examination reform,promote school reform,lay the foundation for students' lifelong development,enrich the theoretical and practical research on the learning power of high school students,and provide some strategic references for teachers and parents in the front line of education and teaching.This paper adopts the research idea of "theory-investigation-problem-cause-recommendation".The research was conducted through literature research,interview method,and questionnaire survey to study the learning power of general high school students.By reviewing and organizing the literature and reading the works of famous people,we defined the core concept of "learning power of general high school students",which is a combination of learning motivation,learning perseverance,learning ability and learning creativity in the learning process.Combined with related theoretical research results,we further clarify the elements of learning power of general high school students,form a theoretical framework for empirical research,and provide theoretical support and foundation for empirical research.Based on the constitutive elements of the learning power of general high school students,which were transformed into the dimensions of the questionnaire,the "Questionnaire on the Current Situation of Learning Power of General High School Students" was prepared,and the sampling method was adopted to investigate the current situation and problems of the learning power of general high school students in four general high schools in Huludao City.The reliability,validity,and significance of each characteristic variable of the questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS23.0 data analysis software.It was found that the learning power of the general high school students in the city was in the middle to upper level in general and well developed.However,there were more significant differences in demographic variables such as grade,gender,whether they were only children,and household location.Based on the results of the questionnaire,it was found that general high school students have the following problems: they have not formed internalized learning drive mechanism,good learning will quality,learning ability of knowledge and action,and independent learning creativity.Combining interviews with teachers,parents and school leaders,the author analyzes the following four reasons for the problems of learning power of general high school students: students' own education is insufficient and their learning power is not good;teachers' professionalism is low and their awareness of cultivating learning power is weak;schools' leadership is lacking and their schooling philosophy is not advanced;and families' education is lacking and their attention is not enough.To address the causes of the learning power of general high school students,the corresponding strategies for improving it are proposed.On the students' side: improve the independent learning power;on the teachers' side: enhance the sense of responsibility for cultivating learning power;on the school side: create conditions for learning power improvement;on the family side: pay attention to the cultivation of learning power and do a good job of strong backing,etc.
