With process of the Basic Educational Reform promoting continuously and the implementation of the new college entrance examination model,the various disciplines at the senior high school stage in China are facing tremendous challenges and changes.In 2018,the Ministry of Education of China formally promulgated the "History Curriculum Standards of General High School(2017 Edition)".After the issuance of this edition of the curriculum standards,People’s Education Press,the Institute of Curriculum Textbooks,and the Experimental Research Group of Middle School History Textbooks,in accordance with the requirements of this edition of the curriculum standards,have compiled the 2019 new senior high school history textbooks published by the People’s Education Publishing House.The implementation of this version of the textbook means the high school history textbooks in China finally ushered in the situation of "one standard should only be used to compile one textbook".Exercises are an important part of history textbooks.It is the main means to cultivate students’ abilities and develop students’ interest.On the occasion of the implementation of new textbooks under the policy of "one standard,one textbook",the study of the textbook exercises of this edition has become extremely important.Therefore,in this article,the edition of the new curriculum standard in 2017 is taken as the standard,the new high school history textbook "Chinese and Foreign History Outline" published by the PEP as the research object,and the exercises of the new high school history textbook are studied from the perspective of design,use and it’s consistency with new curriculum standard.And finally reached the following conclusions:(1)The design of exercises for the high school history textbook of the new version is similar to the old version of the textbook.It is the inheritance and innovation of the design of the old version of the textbook.(2)There is a statistically significant consistency between the exercises in senior high school history textbook of new education press and the curriculum content requirements of the new curriculum standard of the edition in 2017,as well as the five core qualities of history disciplines it has condensed.However,there are still some deviations between the two.(3)Although the difficulty of the high school history textbook exercises of the new version is consistent with the academic quality requirements in the edition of the new curriculum standard in 2017,high school students and front-line history teachers basically think that the textbook exercises are too difficult.The reason is that a lot of high school history teachers can not adapt to the new edition of senior high school history textbook.(4)Affected by the difficulty of the exercises and the teacher’s concept,the use frequency and effect of the new edition of senior high school history textbook exercises in the actual teaching environment are not satisfactory.In response to these research conclusions,this article also provides suggestions on how to solve some of the problems that emerged in the research,including:(1)The senior high school history curriculum standard compilation team should interpret the new curriculum standards with the current junior high school history curriculum standards through online video conferencing or online courses,and help high school history teachers to adapt the new edition of senior high school history textbook.(2)High school front-line history teachers should actively understand the spirit of focusing on the development of students’ core literacy mentioned in the new curriculum standard,change the past teaching concept of emphasizing the study of history knowledge,take initiative to adapt to the new textbook,and give full play to the subjective initiative in the classroom to solve the problems of the textbook exercises in using.(3)High schools should cooperate with local universities or education institutes to strengthen teacher training,and help teachers adapt to the new edition of senior high school history textbooks and the new curriculum standards more quickly by means of "the old help the new".
