Chinese courses have unique disciplinary advantages,carrying multiple educational functions and foundational functions.Reading teaching is an important part of Chinese courses.As the key content of teaching,it is of great significance for cultivating students' ability to use language and writing and improving Chinese literacy.Although the number of novels has been reduced in the comprehensively compiled junior high school Chinese textbooks,as a whole,the selection of texts is more classic,the themes are clearer,the distribution of texts is more reasonable,and a rich reading aid system has been added.In the middle school stage,novel reading teaching can not only effectively increase students' interest in reading,enrich the spiritual world,but also play an important role in inheriting classics and improving multiple aesthetics and reading ability.In order to better carry out the teaching of novel reading in junior high schools,this article starts from the perspective of the overall teaching of the unit,reconstructs and analyzes the text of the novel unit,and explores the method of the overall teaching of the novel unit,so as to provide teaching ideas for the first-line Chinese teachers of junior high school to teach novel reading.First of all,this article uses a questionnaire survey method to investigate the status quo of novel reading teaching in junior high schools,and combines classroom observations to summarize the problems existing in the teaching of novel reading,including the vague and broad teaching goals and separation from the whole;the teaching content is fragmented and inefficient;The ability of reading appreciation is weak and utilitarian;the teaching method is single and less interesting,and the participation is low.It also analyzes the causes of the problems in the teaching of novel reading from both the students and teachers.The specific manifestations are that students lack initiative in learning;students' knowledge is fragmented and unsystematic;teachers' teaching ability needs to be improved;teachers' failure to build teaching supports.Secondly,the author analyzes the unique advantages of the unit-based teaching in terms of teaching,teachers,and students by comparing it with the single-part teaching;and then analyzes the integration,systemicity,effectiveness and interest of the unit-based teaching.Four principles of support,step-by-step,enlightenment and creation,and feedback adjustment are put forward;and the method for the overall teaching of the unitary implementation of the unified compilation of junior high school novels is proposed,mainly including: determining reasonable teaching goals,choosing appropriate teaching content;adopting heuristics,Discussion-style teaching methods stimulate learning enthusiasm;strengthen the comprehensive use of reading methods such as intensive reading,skimming,and browsing;appropriate white space to cultivate thinking skills;equal dialogue and create a good learning atmosphere.Finally,take the second unit of the second volume of the ninth grade of the unified textbook as an example to analyze the overall teaching of the unit,including the teaching emphasis of each selected article,the relationship between each selected article and the determination of teaching content.Then on this basis,the author made an overall teaching plan for the second unit,and chose the classic title "Kong Yiji" for overall teaching design and practice.I hope that through the author's analysis and suggestions,it will provide a reference for the application of the whole teaching in the novel unit teaching,so as to help the junior middle school Chinese teachers to understand and apply the whole teaching more deeply in the reading teaching.
