Competition in the 21 st century is ultimately the competition for talent.School is the main position for cultivating talents.However,nowadays,education is hard to meet the needs of talent cultivation.In this context,personalized teaching has once again attracted attention.This research focuses on personalized teaching of physics in senior high schools and mainly answers the following questions: What is personalized teaching? Why is personalized teaching implemented? How can the personalized teaching be implemented? In this research,literature review,interview methodology,questionnaire survey,structural equation model,and other methods will be adopted to carry out the following work:First,this research answers the question: “What is personalized teaching?”.Through the etymological analysis of “personality” and “teaching”,this paper sorts out various definitions of personalized teaching in reference books and domestic and foreign research,gives the definition of personalized teaching,and discusses the characteristics of personalized teaching.Personalized teaching means that based on each learner's knowledge background,needs and interests,teachers optimize and set different teaching goals,teaching environment,teaching methods,teaching feedback and assignments to promote harmonious development of learners' personality.It has situational,subjective,open,and two-directional characteristics.Second,this paper answers the question: “Why is personalized teaching implemented?” “Why can we implement personalized teaching?” “What are the conditions or feasibility for the smooth advancement of personalized teaching?” By reading and reviewing the literature,this paper draws the following conclusion:1.The difference between students is the most fundamental reason for the implementation of personalized teaching.Personalized teaching achieves good results and is in line with the trend of the time.This is also a remedy to the disadvantages of traditional classroom.These are the external reasons for implementing personalized teaching.2.Information technology development should provide technical support for personalized teaching.The Physics Curriculum Standard of senior high school relentlessly pursues personalized teaching.The senior high school physics curriculum has created conditions for personalized teaching.Third,this paper answers the question: “How can personalized teaching be implemented?” To fully address this question,this research answers the following two questions successively:(1)What is the current status of personalized teaching practice in senior high school in China?(2)Which factors affect personalized teaching of physics in senior high school? How do they work? According to the status quo investigation and influencing factor analysis,this paper proposes strategies for promoting personalized teaching.Specifically,it includes the following three aspects:1.This paper uses personalized teaching assessment tools compiled by foreign scholars,surveys sample students and describes the status quo of personalized physics teaching in high school.As shown by results,the penetration rate of the personalized teaching practice of senior high school physics is at the upper-middle level,and there are differences in the evaluation of the individualized teaching of physics in different groups.2.This paper explores the specific effects of six factors of teacher accessibility,dedication,teacher support,interpersonal skills,school environment,and classroom environment on personalized teaching and its three dimensions.As revealed by results,teachers' dedication has a positive impact on personalized teaching.Teacher support has a positive impact on personalized teaching.School environment has a positive impact on personalized teaching.Classroom environment has a positive impact on personalized teaching.However,teacher accessibility and interpersonal skills do not exert a positive impact on personalized teaching.3.This paper proposes personalized teaching strategies from the aspects of goal setting,environment creation,teaching methods,teaching feedback,and assignments.On the one hand,this research provides a tool that can be referred by teaching evaluators and administrative staff to evaluate teaching.At the same time,this tool helps teachers improve their personalized teaching.On the other hand,this paper uses the structural equation model to test the hypothesis.Since the data is obtained through a large sample,the conclusions are true and credible,which avoids the disadvantages of sitting and talking about big things.
